That one is obviously for yesterday. You need to turn around and go get the one for today next.

Once a month or so is more than enough for me . It was melting in my truck and the a/c is ice cold in that truck. Storms blew through and still going on temp went from 96 at 5pm to 70 in an hour

Looks like Jabba the Hutt. I don't eat ice cream, I have a deprived life. The doctor told me today that caffeinated beverages and TOMATOS are off my feed list. AND, I got a stronger blood pressure medication. Maybe this one will work better, so that blood doesn't spray out of my eyes like it does with horny toads. I got the horny toad part down, though, without the blood.

Dale, any room over there in your corner? I'm supposed to cut down on beer, too, so maybe I'll have to find my own coroner.

Curious why you can't have any tomatoes? I have plenty of tomatoes in my garden this year and have been giving plenty away and someone else commented that tomatoes weren't good for people. I was like "Huh? That's new to me."

Hey Craig,
Have fun back there
Those trips as well as the repetition of going to your family’s homestead every year will leave lifelong memories that your children will cherish their whole life!
Kids sure are growing up quickly

I have reflux issues and am supposed to cut down on acidic foods. I already can't eat a soup or stew with tomatoes in them. Not supposed to eat onions either. That's easy to give up, though.

That was a typo on purpose, trying to be funny. My warped sense of in action. I suspect that I'm going to be living another 20 or so years. That makes me almost embarrassed to have retired at 62. Almost.

It's been 46 years since I worked on a tractor, but I had heard about enclosed cabs, radios, AC and such coming online. All the way from walking behind a farting plow horse to a radio-controlled tractor.

Re: Random Photos ‘You took’

daughter spotted this little critter out cruising for bugs this morning

The three-toed box turtle is a subspecies within the genus of hinge-shelled turtles commonly referred to as box turtles. This subspecies is native to the south-central part of the United States and is the official reptile of the state of Missouri.

Is the red truck running?! Looks great and love the new pups.

Saw these amazing cuts yesterday- they’re at least four inches thick. Not sure how I’d grill these....

I'd never heard of a tomahawk steak until just a few days ago. That's mighty expensive beef. What is the purpose for the "handle"?

Nice! I’d slap those bad boys in the smoker nice and low over heavy hickory/mesquite smoke for about 8-10 hours. I’ve had tomahawks before but not quite that thick.

I've got one of those Sous Vide machines. It gets the internal temps perfect. Then just sear the meat and make it pretty. It works great. It's very precise. Nothing overcooked or undercooked.

I always had a hard time with scallops. Now I can nail it.

That's more of a roast than a steak for sure. It would be very hard to "grill", that needs low/indirect heat for a while.
The marbling on the regular ribeyes next to them looks good.
I just bought a couple last weekend for a little cookout with my mom. They came from a little butcher shop down the street from my house. It is a local favorite, but she hadn't had anything from there for years.
Since the heart attack a few years ago, I don't eat red meat. I make exceptions for special occasions, once in a while though.
After the sticker shock of $25/lb they were fantastic. She even made her family recipe potato salad, which only happens once a year or so now.

My honey is everything potatoes, her favorite food ... but ... she doesnt like potato salad (which I love), or tater tots. But who knows if there are potatoes in tater tots lol. My mom made her special potato salad for summer get togethers. She passed probably around 17 years ago ... Miss ya mom, and your potato salad.
