The last time I was out that way, I was impressed at how many Christmas tree farms there were.

Re: My Facetruck thread.

at $500+/sqft, storage for a fake Christmas tree doesn't always rate..

that and high percentage of apartment dwellers that just don't have storage space at all..

I've known folks that don't even keep all their decorations year to year..

plus, there's a little more vanity out here than most places

Re: My Facetruck thread.

So last weekend we got a tree and set it up. Went with my little guy (grandson) and his mom to a tree farm in the area. It was once huge. I hear real trees are becoming more desirable, but they say this place does 1,000 trees and in the peak years, I think the '60s- '70s, they did 5,000. It's a 1700s farm, old stone house standing proud. The owner is getting older and the fields are pretty played out. But that's why he only charges $25 for any tree. Took a lot of looking, but we found one just right. I think we may be going to the old field. The place is huge with a few different fields

I figure the little fella will remember the trip long after he has forgotten the tree.

Re: My Facetruck thread.

I was going to clip some weeds this afternoon. I hooked the Bush Hog to the tractor, went a couple hundred yards and had a flat. I see that as an omen to stay in my recliner the rest of the day.

Delta/10

No sense getting all out of shape over a flat tractor tire. They are easier to deal with once you let them marinade

Re: My Facetruck thread.

It's marinating in the back of the Longhorn now. The problem is, the flat side was on the bottom, and that's where I needed the round part most. I have a shop that specializes in fixing the flat side.

Re: My Facetruck thread.

Two good ol' boys were sitting around talking one afternoon over
a cold beer.

After a while the 1st guy says to the 2nd,
"If'n I was to sneak over to your trailer Saturday
& make love to your wife while you was off huntin'
and she got pregnant and had a baby, would that make us
kin?"

The 2nd guy, after thinking real hard about the question says, "Well, I don't know about kin, but it would make us even!"
