Hi Bam!

As usual, your work looks great, well thought out and pro performed.

Question: Have you had any issue making the paint match when you paint at different times due to...I don't know, humidity, drying times, etc?

Once again, the truck is looking SO good!

No I have no issues with paint match. When I had that issue it was because I used paint mixed at different time or in different containers. So if I buy 2 gallons of paint I now pour it in one big bucket mix them together and put them back in the paint cans. My matching issues went away after that.

Great idea.

My painter painted my interior and interior steps before later painting the entire exterior. There is a very slight - but unacceptable to me - color difference just on the strip below the doors. He will repaint that and the difference from interior to exterior is so slight you can't see it UNLESS it's directly adjacent like that area. He says it al came from the same but I suspect it's like you are saying. two gallons that were not co-mixed before using.

If you were going to but an accent/pinstripe what color(s) would you chose?

As far as I know it is just the factory's way of reinforcing the sheet metal inner fender so it wouldn't tear over the years. I could be wrong but that's what I have always assumed.

I assume the triangle piece is a reinforcement as well. When you got a V8, the radiator was moved rearward and the core support was bolted further back in the recess. Picture the core support just being slid back. Looks like on these inner fenders the rear holes have been filled. You would need something more than some thin sheet metal to hold it all in place. The forward position has a lot of items converging at the top corner to supply the support.

Re: Kabwe's aka Bam's build

Although it looks a little different, the 58-59 inner fender has reinforcement plate in the same area. It looks like it's heavier gauge than the sheetmetal for structural integrity at the core support attachment point.

Looks like your still moving forward? Trucks looking good, did you always have a fleetside? That green is going to look killer. I haven't been on the site for a while, thought I'd look back at my build thread and check out every ones progress. keep up the good work.

Re: Kabwe's aka Bam's build

Working on the tune since the cam swap. The engine was turning off when I gave it some gas so I had to start tweaking ECU settings. Here is video of what it sounds like now
