The other end I made a door and the fan is to keep the mist or spray out. The air come from the other end.

thanks BOMP and LOW ELCO I still have some touch uo to do.
I repainted the steering column orange today.It was black and I put in kinda in the truck and i didn't like the way it looked. So i light sanded it and shoot the orange to it. I really am glad i did it orange. it looks a lot better now. Maybr tomorrow i will install the steering column in the truck.

Here are a couple pictures of the painted items I shoot orange
Mounted the hood but it is not adjusted right. I need to mount the cowl first. It rained today and my cover leaks. So that is why I mounted the hood. To keep the engine compartment dry.
Mounted the parking brake
But then it came to a halt. I could not adjust the column distance without the PS coulper. I had one but it was the wrong one. So I will take it back to Auto Advance for the right one. he said it will be in tomorrow. So then I can mount the cupler shaft also and get that right.

Did you put that hood on all by yourself? I'd ruin my new paint for sure..

No i got my neighbor to help. he is building a 1949 ford and we help each other out.

Today I installed the rag joint and got the shaft and steering column at the proper distance. the only thing I forgot was the netual safty switch. But I thing I can do it anyway.
I have to put the E-brake cable under neath the shaft. The old girl has been setting here so long that it has spider webs on the brakes when i pulled the front wheel to get to the steering shaft.

After I installed the column I sanded the cowl and re-painted it. It just didn't look right. Now it is sweet.

I was always told never to paint at night without some good light. For the next day I had to repaint the cowl. But, it looks great now. There is something about God's light that makes a difference.

thanks all you guys for stopping by and reading my build. I hope to re-paint the bed this next week. It does not have the shine as the rest of the truck and it is a little difference in the color. I bought another gallon of paint with different lot numbers. So it did not match just right.

i know what you mean! Gods light shining in the garage really seems to light things up way better than any shop lights

George just rub the paint on the bed I think it will shine up if not then no loss you were gonna repaint it anyway.

I started mounting the doors today. I got the drivers side done. I had to pull the fender to adjust the door. No problem. I will mount the fender back on the truck tomorrow. Should I mount the fenders first or should I mount the cowl first? The then hood. Don't mind working on the truck but don't want to have to do it all over again.

The cowl will mount after the fenders as it covers the top 2 fender mounting bolts.
