Miayota - been a fan for a while of your work ... you have a good eye for vintage tin & it shows.
I hope you have continued sucess in your hobby/side work. ratty 46 |

Miayota, your 49 Silver Dollar is perfect. Would love to discuss how you achieved the exterior finish.

Re: How about some pics of 47-59
Simplest way is with a Photobucket, Fliker or some picture hosting site. Do you have one of those?

All I have is Picassa which I don't even know if it is a hosting site. I am techno-dinosaur and all this modern stuff is really Greek to me.

If you want to use photobucket you can do it a little easier by copying and pasting the code directly from photobucket. Here's a thread as well: Photo Posting Thread |

No it is not Picassa web albums. It is just a folder I keep photos in. Thanks anyway.

Mine is "Ultra Violet Metallic" one year only 2004 Chevrolet SSR color my late wife picked out of the sales brochure. In true "Red Hat Society" tradition, the interior is red. Unfortunately she didn't survive cancer to see or drive it. Women love it!!

Re: How about some pics of 47-59
afternoon Seamus, sorry to hear about your wife and my condolence's go out to you. would like to see a larger photo of your truck to see the color clearly. sounds like a great color, and I agree the color attracts lot's of women to it. at least it seems that way when I go to week-end car shows or whatever type I attend.

Re: How about some pics of 47-59
This is my about 75% done 1953 Chevy truck....all GM parts...250 6 cylinder, 4 speed truck tranny, Camaro rear end...it is currently #3 in the lineup too get worked on...I have a Willys S10 swap and then a near stock 1951 1 ton coming to my place this summer...then if I get time I will get back to work on this...it is rude and crude for sure....all it really needs now is a wiring kit... I have not driven it yet as I got sidetracked on a Willys Jeep rebuild for the past 2 years...It is currently 3rd on my list of stuff to rework...gotta S10 frame swap going on now and then a 1 ton farm truck...then back on this one.. All I am actually lacking is a wiring harness than we should good to go...I love the finish on the cab...in rust we trust for sure... MikeC |

.30 over SBC w/700r, TCI MII w/power rack, '79 Camaro big 10 bolt w/3.42 posi, Nu-Relic power windows, Wise Guys seat, etc. Truck was in excellent shape when I got it from a friend - his daughter had been driving to college in the NC mountains.

Re: How about some pics of 47-59
Seamus - are those Chevy Corvette / Camero rally wheels ? If so, where did you get the old school hub caps that fit those wheels ?
Thanks, Nvrdone |

Re: How about some pics of 47-59
thanks for the info Seamus... we have about the same except mine has a 1973 Nova SS sub-frame and a 1981 Camaro 10-bolt with 3:42 gears, .030 over 327/300hp, with 86 305 HO heads, disc brakes all around. no power windows yet. so what kind of milage do you get with your set-up? Oh and T-5 5 speed out of a 89 s-10...still like your truck

Re: How about some pics of 47-59
Rears are original Corvette 15"X8", fronts are original 15"X6", used on early Corvettes & fleet cars - Impalas & such. Bought the hub caps at Charlotte Auto Fair. Most of the parts & wheel vendors sell them. Believe Summit sells them also.
