Well, that tears it. Bam IS an interior designer!

But seriously, it looks very well done. What's the first thing you'll get back to on the truck? I seem to remember (distantly) that you had done some final painting.

Yeah I thought that many times myself, but I know me. Every time I look at it, it would bother the heck out of me. So I spend a little more time. Its be down this long so what difference does it make is how I look at it.lol

There you go with the jokes.lol Plus your memory is shot. I'm having a block party at my house. I have to get the body work smooth as glass before I even think paint. What is under the paint is more important than the paint itself. A small imperfection will be magnified once painted.

I shaved the doors and installed the bearclaws latches in reverse because I want the solenoid in the cab corner instead of at the bottom of the door. I will have to come up with some kind of manual pull for opening the door from the inside without a remote control. I have ideas but I'm going to keep that to myself until I'm sure it works and looks decent.

Thanks Bam,, the inside opening what is I was concerned with,, I have seen some kind of magnetic hood opening latches but didn't know how it was done. I then thought about maybe some kind of push button on the back side of the cab just around the backside un-seen from the side.. it will be a while before I even try it,, I really want the one piece side window, but want the bear claw latches,, there is not much room for both,,I'm really tire of slamming my doors and I have good factory latches!
I really lost most if not all of my mind....... I'm building a ls6 72 Vega

i used bicycle brake cable and sheathing to run thru my door looms and under the hood.
tandem bikes have real long cables. look at any 10 speed bike to see the hardware.
use the same system for safety cables on both doors, trunk lid, tonneau cover and gas door.

Re: Kabwe's aka Bam's build

Here are some pics of my firewall that I used slicksand on and blocked a while ago and forgot to post pics. I love this product.

I'm still not getting much truck time lately I hope that changes soon.
