My long stepside sides arrived from mar-k yesterday. Very impressed with the 2 day shipping and the quality packaging/crating. And as always extremely happy with the parts!!

Re: What did you do to your truck today part III
Sealed up the 230ci today. Working with gaskets and sealer is stressful for me. Glad it's over. I also set/adjusted the valve lash today. For me, a lot less stressful.

Got this email earlier........
All I can say is Roll on weekend....!! Though, saying that, Saturday is kind of reserved and Sunday I will be in Essex at the NSRA Swapmeet. Hope to find a few bits there, including a thermostat housing.

Assembled Passenger Side Door this evening, pulled the junk bench seat, started mechanical assembly on the van tilt... getting ready for wheel.
Installed the Passenger Side Door Panel and arm-rest. Good night |

Re: What did you do to your truck today part III
Oooh pretty shineys!! Put my overtime to work - finally bought the pulley/bracket kit I needed when I did the front end swap! Before shot. After. Got rid of a cool period correct but cumbersome fan shroud. We'll see how that little fan works in Houston traffic. I might have to go to a bigger unit with a built-in shroud. Oh yeah, I stuck a new carb in there while I was at it

Re: What did you do to your truck today part III
Well I finally got around to replacing the bed wood in my '66 C-20. We got all the boards sealed and the new rails treated and coated with POR15.
my nosy neighbor comes over while these were drying and says "don't those go the other way? " well at least he's got a sense of humor! Mrs. Hilander even got into the action!

Re: What did you do to your truck today part III
and the fun begins....... One side and one wheel tub off, work resumes on tearing down the rest of the bed. Cutting and grinding.... ....and grinding and cutting.

Re: What did you do to your truck today part III
Been working on my truck more the last couple of weeks. Tired of talking about it. Front half of frame is clean and coated in POR. Almost finished with putting new bushings under the cab. My friend sprayed color and matte clear on the motor and transmission yesterday evening. Next step is to move the crossmember forward to center the front wheels then fabricate the mount for rack and pinion. After that, put in the motor/trans and start wiring. I ordered the harness from PSI yesterday, can't wait to get it !

Re: What did you do to your truck today part III
Finally got around to cleaning the engine bay. Primer on it now, then paint, then new MC and at some point the engine will make it's way back in there
