so here's a Fun Fact, although there is a handy zipper on the back of these early 90s GMC Sierra 60/40 "bucket" seats the front is completely GLUED on to the foam !!! WTH ???

Thank you Gary, I thought I was cheap? and I want to treat myself to some nice seats for my birthday next month and for once sit on my butt while somebody does the work for me since I have busted my tail on this "build" / assembly so far, know what I mean?

Between this truck and the ordeal with my '74 bench seat that this other shop had for 6 weeks and didn't do a darn thing I am really loosing faith in counting on somebody else, sad really cause I know there are a lot of great craftswomen out there

I've got the split bench at the shop right now. It's supposed to be about $1200 all in, but he's had it since last September and promised me he could have it done by June. I feel your pain.

so the tail lights be done, all painted black and such not, and I wanted to get a ruberized cable clampy clamp on there to tuck that wire under but the darn things come only in 1/4" bolt hole sizes and these them screws are 5/16ths and I didn't want to drill them out cause they ain't much meat on them to begin with, we'll figure something out later... (um never)

I think they will work just fine, anybody know if there are any tail light height ordinances and regulations, I'm sure here in California if you run them too low they cause cancer or something

Those lights might look good cut in to the roll pan. Lot's of progress. Very impressive. I used bicycle inner tubes between my tank and tank straps. It worked great and very cheap. We like cheap.

Yup, thought about it, and bought some but they usually come as 4" and that's just too big, so I am thinking about doing some oval ones horizontally, let me know if you come across some that may work

15” minimum 72” maximum per 24600(f) CVC. You’d probably be fine since your not a straight piped 4 cylinder Honda car driving like your in Fast and the Furious getting everyone’s attention

labor is what's killing ya! can probably get someone like Katzkins to sell ya some pre-fit leather you can swap in place of the fabric. that's what i was looking at for the yukon seat in mine.

Quote #4 - $600 bucks per seat so $1,200 total for real leather, but he is "4 weeks out" which I assume he can't even start on them for 4 weeks?

Quote #5 - $750 bucks per seat so $1,500 total for leather and only $475 for cloth/vinyl but it will take him 4 to 8 weeks

we going to get one more quote and probably go with option 4 above, not because he is the cheapest just sounded nice when we spoke
