Re: How about some pics of 88-98 Trucks
Like BHB says, it's definitely a 2wd and it does look to be slightly lifted over a stock 2wd, plus the tires look a little bigger, but that drop looks about like a 9/12 should look from stock.

Re: How about some pics of 88-98 Trucks
So, I took the opportunity, to make some changes. Had a friend who owned a body shop and he let me do a bunch of the prep work in exchange for some of the upgrades the insurance wouldnt pay for.....
Drivers side rebuilt. Worked over the new bed a bit.... In the paint booth. Outside for the first time. The day I got it all back together and drove it home. This is after I wetsanded and polished it... And this is how it looked with the 17s on it just before I wrecked it. Oh, and the cowl hood too. Last edited by ccreddell; 03-02-2011 at 12:41 AM. |

Nice truck. What happened to it this time? Are you gonna bring it back again?

Re: How about some pics of 88-98 Trucks
Was towing my wifes car back from Portland, and there was some road construction going on. they were running everything down to one lane and at the last minute, this lady in a big Dodge Ram goes blowing by me trying to get past me before her lane ended. No problem, I just backed off a bit. Then all of a sudden she realizes that traffic is stopped ahead and climbs on th brakes and comes to a dead stop about 40 yards behind the stopped traffic. It was about 110 degrees out and brand new asphalt, so traction was nil. So I slid into the back of her and took out the cowl hood and rad support, and grille and such. I drove it home and eventually fixed the damage, but just as I was getting it ready to go back on the road we had a cold snap and it popped my freeze plugs. I now have a place to work on it, so hopefully over the spring/summer I can get it back on the road.

Re: How about some pics of 88-98 Trucks
You've had some rough luck in that thing, but I guess it coulda been worse, especially the driver-side impact.
You still have the Eagle 212s on there? I get tired of mine every so often, and then I'll see them on somebody else's truck and think "Hey, those are pretty sharp."

Re: How about some pics of 88-98 Trucks
Right?
I just don't see how this could be possible. I know a guy who put that exact 3-3-2 combo on a truck once. He took it for a drive and was shattering the road reflectors with the LCAs they were so low. He drove right back to the shop and took the LCAs off. |

Re: How about some pics of 88-98 Trucks
The front spoiler looks to be as low as 4 -5" front drop.

Re: How about some pics of 88-98 Trucks
Yep, still on there-or at least they were last time I looked :-)
What Id really like is to find some 212s in 20" sizes-want to go to 20s real bad. Also picked up a 95 parts truck, so I think Im going to do the dash swap. And if i can find a T56 I can afford, Ill swap it with the 5-speed thats in there. And come to think of it, I have 5.3 in storage too.......hmmmm.......... EDIT: Actually, the wheel/tire combo that LivNLo94 has on his truck wold look killer too..... Last edited by ccreddell; 03-03-2011 at 01:04 AM. |

Re: How about some pics of 88-98 Trucks
When I dream, I dream of an LS/T56 combo for mine. Boost my HP and my MPG at the same time.
And I like LivNLo's rims too; they remind me of the EA 225s.

Re: How about some pics of 88-98 Trucks
Who doesn't? My truck is already a 5-speed, so it's just begging for that extra gear.

Re: How about some pics of 88-98 Trucks
Mine's a DD, so a few more miles out of every $3+ gallon would be awesome. It's either upgrade my powertrain or learn to keep my foot out of it...and what fun would that be?

Re: How about some pics of 88-98 Trucks
My foot needs to go on a diet. My daily is a 28 mpg Cadillac and with these gas prices I'm still trying to teach my foot how to hypermile it a bit.
