Looks great, Bam.

How far out from the new work does the blend start? I see no indication of any work at all.

Let me try to explain. First its very important that you block the repaired area to the point that the edges of the repair are milky or blending into the non repaired area. If you can feel the transition with a finger nail that is to much and the repair will show when done. After that I scuffed the whole fire wall on that side to about the center of the truck with 800 grit. I then back taped and masked off the top lip of the firewall and the center of the truck. Color is about 3 inches past this primed area after three coats. So first 1 inch, 2nd coat 2inch and 3rd another inch. Than I cleared the whole masked of area.

Sorry I don't do stocked, stocked suspensions are the first thing to go on my builds. I think you will have more success with stocked stuff at at stovebolt.com a lot of those guys are into stocked stuff. Yes there are guys here that do stocked builds, but stovebolt.com seems to be a completely stocked site.

Thanks Kim.

With the column mod finished, I installed the steering column and I have to say I like it much better than the ididit swivel ball I had in place before. Less busy and a smoother look in my opinion.

Thanks guys and yes its just way cleaner, simple, and less busy. Those who followed this build remember how much it bothered me having to have the column come out of the firewall due to the 55-56 Chevy car dash swap.

BAM, that looks great. I like the boost terminals discretely hiding out, I am using those same ones under my hood as well.
what kind of air filter is that? never seen one with that checkerboard look before. cool.
do you plan to cover the intake with something from your box of tricks? can't wait to see how that looks if you plan that. you always come up with something new and cool.

Re: Kabwe's aka Bam's build

Bam,

Loving everything I see. What are your plans for the valve covers/coil covers and possibly(?) an engine cover?

Do you think she'll be ready to drive to the Brothers Show next summer?
