I decided to carry my stud idea a little further, I screwed up one of the studs by not using the correct tool, thinking a torx would work, but not

underneath the mounting brackets, where it mounts to the floor, it squeezed out, About a 1/4" roll all the way around, plus the bolt hole

a little trouble with the back bracket for the Lokar shifter. Have to buy a 5/8" spacer and a 3/8"-16 X 3" bolt

finished up rear trans mount, ordered 3" bolts had to cut down to 2 1/4"

Threaded 5/16" rod and studded rod end came today, working on shifter linkage

Looking good Jim. Stud idea on seat mounting is great. Makes installing carpeting a lot easier if you are going that route.

sorry for not updating, but just enjoying life. this is my off season, where I catch up on my other projects. Did get to drive the shifter cart for a while, it's a blast.
doing alot of road trips, just got back from Sturbridge flea market, lots of cool stuff up there, picked up some automobilea.

I got rid of my TPI setup and went with a Holley Sniper. I like it.
Might be an option for you? Looks like someone was a little rough on that heater hose nipple... |

I was looking for the cool factor, but you're right , there maybe better systems out there!
Note the red arrow, cracked intake manifold. That's what happens when you use a tapered easy out, I was able to get a hacksaw blade in there to cut some of the threads and roll back the fitting with a punch. Hopefully I can have it tigged Just one of my SNAFUs. on to the shaft bushings for the quadra jet

Installing throttle shaft bushings, grind the staked screws or you WILL snap the heads off. mark blades for location and direction
