My wife and I were there last October. Went to Arches, Canyonlands, Bryce Canyon then Zion. That part of Utah is a blast.
Toss up some pictures when you get a chance.

I've been to Moab. I think I know where you were in those pictures. Out in that dirt behind the 7-11, right?

We were north of Moab about 8 miles, across from the Arch View campground. We were right by the railroad tracks. We camped there, because we could access a bunch of the trailheads with out towing our ATV's.

The call wasn't from me.

I think I'll stay right here. It was a nice place to visit.

Re: My Facetruck thread.

Ok, back to my grandson . I just wanted to say Gus and mommy came over Sat & Sun for a short stay. It had been since that Baltimore day that I had seen mom. I saw Gus once between when Grana brought him for a weekend. Yes, that would be my x-wife. Yes, she stayed over, too. Yes, that is interesting to know. NO, I have a spare bedroom! More Hot Wheels action was insisted upon. Go figure. Did a cookout and then the rain began. So, Sunday kinda washed our outside plans out. They'll be moving to Detroit end of June, so visits are precious.

Re: My Facetruck thread.

My granddaughter is 14 now. She goes to Jacksonville (near Boog) to a trap shooting competition Friday.

We'll stop and spend the night with the two grandsons at Conway tomorrow.

Re: My Facetruck thread.

That's a nice plan. Through life you might have wondered what it would be like getting older, being a grandfather (hard to imagine way back when), retiring, and all. Here you are. Not so bad, ey?

Well my friends after an almost two year battle (this time). I have a PET scan in the morning. I'm hoping it's clear. If it's not I have 2 month stay at Stanford. So, I'm having a rough night.....thanks for letting me vent......

Re: My Facetruck thread.

I turned the business over to my daughter and son in law almost 10 years ago. I quit doing any thinking, but I still did the heavy hauls because I liked to do it and it let me run around. I would deliver a machine and take the long way home. About two years ago I quit doing the hauls, and I locked my Peterbilt up in a warehouse.

It didn't make much since to pay insurance and license on it to just sit, so the time has come. We took it to be detailed this week and the logos came off. I'm going to move it on. I hope the next guy enjoys it as much as I did. There aren't many 94 Pete's with 687,000 miles out there.

End of an era. Congratulations on still being alive after a lifetime of work. Many people don't make it to that point, and given my family history, I didn't expect it, either. An old quote I read somewhere seems to be appropriate here-

"Old truckers never die- they just get a new Peterbilt". I kill me!

Re: My Facetruck thread.

Dale, this may be the internet, but that's just how we met. But I consider you and others here as just plain friends. When we say we're pulling for you, it's not like hitting the like button and moving on. This is real as it gets. We are all friends with great distance between, same as some I went to school with. I must say, what a time we would have if we all got together (at Other Larry's place )

Larry, that Peterbuilt ought to put some jingle in your pocket. Selling it to buy a W900???

At the Carlisle truck show I talk to this guy who hauls produce coast to coast in his W900-L about the same age. I think he said 5 million on it. I could be remembering wrong, but at least 3.5
