what kind of air filter is that? never seen one with that checkerboard look before. cool.
do you plan to cover the intake with something from your box of tricks? can't wait to see how that looks if you plan that. you always come up with something new and cool.
The filter is a cheap one I found on ebay. I had to find a shorter one than the red one that I was using because it hit the inner fender. That design is called carbon fiber. I believe it was only 12 bucks. Yes I plan to eventually run a engine cover but I will think about that later I have way bigger eggs to fry.lol I have to get this thing done so I can start on my 55 210 car.

Thanks. Like I said earlier in this post, yes I plan to do something, I'm just not sure as to what at this time. It will be something simple. Brothers Show man I hope so but I'm not going to say it.lol

Not a dumb question at all. I was going to run the wires through that piece but I found if I drilled a new hole and ran the wires across the radiator support all the wires would be hidden behind the hood latch panel. I did end up running a couple of ground wire through there.

Re: Kabwe's aka Bam's build

This is a great build. I have a question what did you use for your stake pocket fuel filler. I would like to put something in the rear deck in a suburban. It doesn't look like what you use is really deep. thanks and keep up the good work

Thanks man.

I've been trying to think of a way to build a air box to have the coolest air possible and found a air box that is exactly what I was thinking of building. It took a simple mod but I i did not have to make a box, which saved me a lot of time.

Re: Kabwe's aka Bam's build

Well I’m finally getting this thing to look like a something. I got the complete dog house install, along with the headlights and turn signals, and an engine cover (I think it’s temporary until I have time to fab something). I also started wet sanding the fenders.

Really nice Bam, I love the color in combination with chrome.
Do you happen to have an overall shot, with the box on it yet?
I’m curious about that...

Don't be jealous (well the truck is green.lol) get to work and get even. The headlights are 7 Inch H4 Fluted Headlights with clear turn signals with a amber bulb. I got them from Speedway Motor but I seen them for sale at other places.

Re: Kabwe's aka Bam's build

The wifey said the truck was way too loud.lol She will be in it with me and I want her comfortable so I had to compromise. I installed new mufflers. The were cheap but got good reviews. So for the price I tried them. They are Jones Exhaust Max Air Flows.

Heres what the truck sounds like now
