Re: 1976 Square "Simple Green"

Well as most of you know I had my buddy who own a hot rod shop do a alignment for me they set it up like a race car. So I have drove it a few days and something was just eating at me. So I have old time style alignment shop here in town I use I took it in we put it on the rack and with the gauges and calipers tape measure the old way got it dialed in better. Caster thanks to PB arm we got 7 degrees positive haha that is amazing camber we got .25 degree negative and tow was set at 1/16 toe in. Dead nutz on just perfect!!!

Matt-
So this is what I think and I know one forum member will not agree with me cause he does not like the RT shocks. But IMO these are the best I have had and they should be for what they cost. The ride is smooth but I can feel the right amount of road feed back. Rebound is how I like it. They don't feel so compressed floaty feeling. I also notice the azz wasn't smacking the frame like it did with some other brands I have had. Plus they look killer under the truck. And they installed so much easier than the other mono shocks because I didn't have to compress them so far. I like them I like them a lot. I drove all over town today good roads bad road you name it low speed high slew of it could be done I did it today cause I wanted to be sure this was the best choice for my setup. And it is. Now everyone likes a different ride these IMO are exactly what I like in a shock. Worth every dime I have spent. I will be keeping these so no one will be getting the hook up on these!!
So if I had to rank them it would be

This is just my opinion on ride quality and performance handling how I like it

If anyone is every in my neck of the wood and needs a alignment done right the old school way. No matter if you are slammed or not they can do it. Go to Alignment Professionals. Darryl and Pat are a class act.

Pros and cons no matter which I decide. But I do like new technology plus it looks like the original. Hmmm.

Re: 1976 Square "Simple Green"

So with my never ending I feel something is better on the market. I bought a different dash pad. The first dash pad from Cheyenne PickUp is a nice well made dash pad the inner structure is made of poly and nothing wrong with that but it's not like the original pad. So on my search I found a Dashes Direct makes dash pads for our trucks also! The dashes direct inner structure is metal! Unlike the Cheyenne Pickup dash pad the Dashes Direct clips are not installed. And guys putting those clips on was a ***** I broke 3 of the 6 lucky I ordered extra God was that ruff. I thought my fingers was about to fall off after getting them on. Besides that the Dashes Direct pad is freaking awesome. Funny thing I didn't tell the wife I got the new dash pad and she said your dash is different Lol I said can you tell she yes I like this one better it looks better made. It is heavy well made solid like the original one. The foam isn't as soft as the Cheyenne Pickup dash. But I am not worried about a soft dash pad. If you lay the 2 pads next to the original pad. The Dashes Direct could pass for the original the build and grain look just like original dash pad IMO. Also the antenna cut out on the Dashes Direct looks better more like original getting down to small details lol. I don't know I just like the Dashes Direct dash pad better. Nothing wrong with the Cheyenne Pickup pad nothing at all. But I just like the Dashes Direct better just seems IMO a better pad for my truck!

Well thank you for taking the time reading 68 pages. And thank you for the complement on my truck. I have tried to mix the new with the old and stay true to the truck. I feel I have a good balance of both.
