Hi Joe, I do not have a build thread unfortunately. I'm terrible about making a cohesive thread like that and keeping it up to date. But fill free to shoot me any questions..

Not to the truck but for the truck. Just drove through the monsoon we,re having to acquire a set of 15x8, 6 lug truck rally with rings and centers, all in great shape for 125.00. Gotta get them deals when you can, lol.

Well with El Nino coming thought it best I deal with my drip rail. It'll take a while for the new paint to fade in but otherwise came out pretty good.

Looks nice. Mind sharing what product you used? Also, any tips or tricks for sealing the gutters? I'm going to be attempting mine soon too.

That's ok, I understand. That's why I don't have one going for my truck also! I will definitely be shooting some questions your way regarding the motor/electrical set up of your truck. Thanks!

I used Fusor 122EZ bought both the sealer and gun from these guys https://www.blendsupply.com/lord-fus...ealer-10-1-oz/ .
One cartridge kit was enough but I was stressed the whole time thinking I was going to run out. Ended up with about 1/5th left.
Hardest part was trying to do the whole thing in one continuous run. You really need to do a dry run first figuring out how you are going to reach everything. Also the two downward slopes at the rear are a little tricky as the stuff flows quite a bit and I ended up with more at the bottom than anywhere else so plan for that. All and all a pretty easy product to work with.

Just a bit.

Problem is, the way I had the cab stood up, I could not get it back in the garage, and the chassis and floor needed to be finished before I head for Clem's parrty.

The rest of this week has rain forecast, and once I get my new cab mount rubber set and fit it, the cab will be bolted in place.

So it all had to be done.

Just waiting for Martin now to give me a hand rolling it forward again, safely, and replacing the bed, then pack away and have a long hot bath.

Re: What did you do to your truck today part III

Woke at Stupid-O-Clock and had a mug of tea.

Very happy with the outcome so far.

All the cleaning and preparation paying off, it does take up the majority of the time but if you do, the result will not come back later to bite you in the bum.

Floor was seam sealed inside and outside on joins and all welds.

Underseal brushed on, I have also got spray on Schultz underseal but prefer. Getting into corners and around the back of folds.

Altogether now.......

At about 5.30 Martin popped over to help me get the cab down and move the bed into the back of the garage.

He seemed happy with the progress and result, he has a super critical eye.

So this is where my weekend ended, during the week I will paint the inner floor as I had done a second coat of seam sealer as well.

Tired tonight, but happy.

Mocked up my small block and 2004R transmission. I have more room with that trans than with the TH350 (small hump cab) Go figure. Using the POL engine brackets and trans cross member from western chassis.

Cruising the Coast started today, so it's 8 days of classic rides. Started out cloudy and cool but got nice after lunch. Supposed to be mid60s to low 80s and clear all week. here is a sample of the 1400 shots I took today.

Re: What did you do to your truck today part III

I changed my white shocks with black ones.. It seems I had gas shocks in the truck but the left one went down but didn't rebound back. Maybe there won't be a lot of bouncing up and down anymore.

Re: What did you do to your truck today part III

It's amazing how much work you can squeeze into an hour when you, know your wife will be home soon and you spent the last two days in the garage.....

So tonight I pulled the truck out after work and "quickly" painted the floor, then cooked dinner..... Fried pork chops, butter and herb mushrooms and cous cous. Perfect.

First coat down, next coat in a few days, the sound deadening, felt pads and carpet once the paint is done.

Nothing else to do right now except start cleaning up the rear suspension, chassis and various other bits like brakes etc.
