Re: Kabwe's aka Bam's build
Thanks guys I appreciate all your comments on the color. I was a little nervous about the green. I'm usually way more conservative when it comes to colors but I thought the truck needed a color that popped a bit more than something I would normally chose. Once I shot the interior I became way more confident in the color choice and actually love it now.

Re: Kabwe's aka Bam's build
Man, I'm gone a day and you paint your truck.
Bam, that just looks flat FANTASTIC! I don't know WHY I should be surprised though. You just won't settle for anything less. Huge congratulations. The Belair dash and the filled interior seams just make the whole thing even more fantastic. How far away is exterior paint? I can't imagine very long or you wouldn't have risked exposing that interior to dust and overspray, etc. Best, and a happy belated Easter to you and all the "buddies" here, Dan

Re: Kabwe's aka Bam's build
Yeah I'm really digging that I finally shot some panels even if its only the interior. You don't know how great it felt to see anything other than primer.lol
Thanks man Quote:
I'm not that far away from painting the exterior but I want to mock up the fenders and doors one last time. But exterior is blocked out and ready for a sealer. As soon as I have some time I will do the final mock up. I think my head will explode once I'm able to lay some pain on the exterior I'm going to be some happy.lol |

Re: Kabwe's aka Bam's build
Absolutely love the color, I'll be doing a back yard job too but I'm nervous cause there isn't a lick of concrete..it's all dirt or should I say natural landscape. Well done Mr. Bam!!

I have a hobby air system if you don't have, can't afford, or don't want one please get a really good respirator because it contains dangerous chemical and fumes so be careful. Get one approved for auto paint. I only use my hobby air for big jobs. I wear a nice tight fitting respirator for small jobs. Such as when I shot the interior. Re: Kabwe's aka Bam's build
Bam's gonna have to establish a 976 number to charge all us guys. Hey, that's not a bad idea. It'd probably pay for his truck!

Re: Kabwe's aka Bam's build
Lieutenant Bam once again you have killed it. I remember a few years ago when you got the color you were not sure. Not only are you sure now, but I see you getting a trophy at the Brothers Show.
Just make sure you include all of us in the photo for giving you support. That seriously is a cool color bro. |

Re: Kabwe's aka Bam's build
Ok,all trouble making aside, I have a question for you, what type of paint do you use? I am looking at colors and paints as well and I like single stage for the color quality but two stage for the flakes you can add in plus if its two tone I can sand and clear to smooth. So whats your opinion on this stuff?
