Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread
think the 2 barrel versions are copies of weber carburetors , i heared edelbrock carbs are copies of there design too

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread
Dellorto's aren't copies of Webers. They are quite similar carbs though and will interchange in many cases. Similar to Rochester, CArter and Edelbrock carbs. They were developed for different vehicles at different times and adapted to others as need came about. In the VW world, the Dellorto's tend to be a bit more desirable and are considered to "hold their tune"for longer before needing to be tweaked again.
It's fun to keep a 2 barrel carb on each side of a 4 cylinder boxer motor in sync all the time.

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread
you should try to try to keep 3su carbs in tune on a english L6 engine , those things are realy fiddly , there mounted on basicly all english cars untill the 80's i believe

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread
great progress last night ,i am working on the rear brace of my bed where the floor is raised, it was one of those nights where everything went right !! that was a nice change, anyway pretty excited about the progress !! and.......funny story my wife gets all excited last night and says i found the perfect color for your truck she starts telling me she saw this car and she is trying to look it up on her phone and i say by any chance is it this car, and i named the car and where it parks" she was shocked she said how in the world did you know the one i was going to tell you about ? LOL i have been looking at it the last couple weeks thinking thinking, Would that be a cool color or not?? so with her confirmation, i think i have the color and then she came up with a killer idea for the interior !! that girl she's a keeper !! ANYWAY cant wait to get some paint on it and show you guys .....i wish i had the extra cash to do a rendering if i did i would post it up !!

Could also check to see if anyone of the board vendors does them??? Don't let this distract you from getting real progress done though! Truck looks awesome and is really coming along! I have tons of pics from your thread saved for inspiration

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread
Is it still going to be silver with a red interior, or are you shifting gears on us?
