I hate sanding. I finished stripping and sanding all the old oil based stain off my bed wood so that I can stain it and finish it with a water based stain and a 2 part finish. I love having a wooden bed but I hate having to refinish it for the third time. I keep it outside and what I used the first 2 times didn't hold up. No pictures I will post pics after it is finished.

Re: What did you do to your truck today part III

I am working on replacing the rot in the cab on the drivers side front. I have the floor pretty much welded in but still working on the kick panel and fire wall. This thing is worse than I thought. My goal is to finish metal repair on the cab this summer. Plus I am making my own panels for the most part!

Re: What did you do to your truck today part III

Put my 64 GMC on a lift today and greased the front end, and also repaired an almost melted electric fuel pump wire....I don't think wires like sitting on exhaust pipes....few zip ties and That problem was solved. EDIT. Yes I replaced the wire.

Re: What did you do to your truck today part III

Was crusin down the freeway when I heard something and then ran over something. After coming out of the store I decided to look at the truck to try and figure out what I ran over and if there was any damage. Well I found this. Seems like I ran over it also. I think something flew up from the car in front of me. At least I have an extra. I am just happy it didn't hit my hood or grill.

Re: What did you do to your truck today part III

Finished passenger door for all new weatherstrip, vent window included. Drivers door is 3/4 finished. This was one of those jobs that took a boatload of time but if I was to do it again, I could literally do it in 1/4 of the time. One of them jobs u think back on and can't imagine you had so many hours in it. Oh well.
