Cool, I couldn't really tell from the picture. I'm really jealous of how great this thing is coming together!

Re: Finally "Silvers" build thread!! ('78 swb 2wd silverado)

What made you go with the RAAMat stuff instead of Dynamat? Im sure there isnt much difference in quality but just wondering. Also what did you use to roll it out so nicely on your floor. It looks great. I am going to be buying some soon as well for my c10. How much did it take?

Re: Finally "Silvers" build thread!! ('78 swb 2wd silverado)

thanks guys!! i used a roll of bxt and a case of bxtII. looks like its going to be perfect amount. We used ALOT! doubling up through all the seams. We used a wall paper roller to get it smoothed out and believe it or not some water proof tape for pipes on all the seams. you can get it at wally world. be sure to get at least 2 rolls. the tape is made out of the same stuff the ram mat is made out of. as for going with ram mat... just google it! tons of info and high praise on the stuff

i got a lot done today! column in with all new hardware. all the parts blasted and painted. cowl cover blasted and painted. locker shift linkage (PAIN IN THE ASS) installed and goes into ALL gears also started on the wiring harness and finished installing the sending units for the ultra lite's!!

btw, the raam mat bxt is a great product. adheres like no other!!! kind of a mess and sticks like heck but other wise very nice.
Looks great, nice progress.

Are you going to put down the Ensolite IUO material as well?

no, i've read that it holds moisture and i had just planned on going with factory insulation over custom open loop carpet. we will see though.

the rod for the linkage barely hit the brake booster brace on the firewall. then once i cleared that it was hitting on the o2 sensor that screws into the header collector. once i finally figured i couldn't get around the sensor i removed it then had to go back and forth with the adjustments (like 5+ different adjustment points) until finally it was dialed in and went from P R N OD D 2 1. just kicked my butt is all

Steering column looks great and functional!
Sorry I don't know the part number for the booster adapter (Bob where you at?).

What are you doing with the interior? all new too? Where are you getting the door panels, dash, etc.? Just curious how deep you are going with this monster? It's going to be too nice to drive man.....
thanks
