Re: 1967 C10 Custom Big Window
All of my interior except the dashpad is out and currently in two different shops. My brother-in-law is doing my console, kick panels and sunvisors, and an upholstery shop has my seats, door panels and steering wheel. The inside of my truck is bare!!! Still waiting for backordered dashpads to come in so I can recover a new one instead of the bent old one I have.

That is probably coming out. Not to sure that I like it too much. It will be replaced by something gooder.

Re: 1967 C10 Custom Big Window
Stopped by the upholstery shop to give the guy some green and seems to be going well so far. Picking up the door panels tomorrow. Getting excited about the upcoming show (link above) and bought a few new parts. Dash pad, chrome door panel moldings, a few small things and a drip rail moulding kit. I suppose everyone has heard the horror stories that follow after trying to install the drip rail moulding, my story is about the same. Back to painting!

Re: 1967 C10 Custom Big Window
Ugghh. I dunno. At least I gave it a shot and it was something different that most people don't have. Guess that was my reasoning......FAIL.

Re: 1967 C10 Custom Big Window
Sorry man, not trying to add insult to injury...it was just seeing those pics made me sick knowing you have a pearl paint job....
The drip rail molding reminds me of that chrome tape you see everyone OVER-using on their cars/trucks....I'll pass

Re: 1967 C10 Custom Big Window
That sucks, but also good to know as I had planned on using drip rail molding on my truck! Guess not now! Didn't know that it was that bad. Even after you get it on?

Glad I could take one for the team! Dangit!! hahaha, I can't dwell on it so I'll just move on. The inside of my bed needed to be painted regardless so the paint will go on the drip rail too. I also have another little peice or two that has to be painted to match the truck also, but I'm keepin that under my hat till it's done then post the pics!

Re: 1967 C10 Custom Big Window
Moving on! Went to the shop to see the progress on my seats and to pick up the steering wheel and door panels, they came out pretty good. I am now contemplating on how to attach the bottom of the panel to the door, may use push pins but am looking at possibly putting polished screws though the material to give it a retro feel to the updated interior. Here are some pics of the new slickness.

Re: 1967 C10 Custom Big Window
as long as you can use metal for the mustang stlye clips you should be ok... my sisters 66 mustnag has cardboard door panels with those and the cardboard plus how the clips work really suck.... just a heads up. i would go with polished screws IMO

It does, but these things happen and no use cryin about it. It'll be fixed before the show at the end of the month. Already picked up the paint to do the bed, drip rail, and a couple of other things. Got my ghost blue pearl on order too.

Re: 1967 C10 Custom Big Window
Sorry about the drip rail! I remember you telling me you were thinking about doing it but I had not heard the horror stories! At least it won't be too bad to fix, especially since you were already planning on getting stuff repainted. Anyways, you're interior's looking sweet! I can't wait to see the seats all done.
