Flatbed is looking good. Nice looking plow. That should keep the driveway clear.

Re: What did you do today not on your truck...
Split some and decided to take a break and do some milling . Forgot how slow and hard it is to do with a chainsaw mill . Did four slabs the rest of this one and five other red and white oak logs are going to my friends mill . Just need to help him replace a hydraulic line . That will be a piece of cake .

Re: What did you do today not on your truck...
Not today but Saturday the wife and I snuck into the other Larry's backyard. Hiked to Hemmed In Hollow and then on down to the Buffalo. Waterfall was just a trickle as the recent rains weren't enough for runoff. Six miles total with 1000 feet in elevation down and back up. About four hours on the trail. Had an early dinner at the Low Gap cafe and then headed home.

Split more wood and loaded the 72 as the Dodges center carrier bearing decided to crap out pulling a load of wood yesterday . Mom needs wood 87 and still burns wood in the insert .

Re: What did you do today not on your truck...
Hasn't quite happened yet, but taking my oldest grandson to the Cowboys / Broncos game today. Won't mention the overall cost but, the closest parking I was willing to pay was 200 damned dollars.
My uncle used to take me the Cotton Bowl to watch the Cowboys in the early '60s and its still a great memory for me. I would rather watch the games on TV but, my Grandson is a Broncos fan. When the schedule came out he asked that we go as his 16th birthday gift. So, we are going. I did score 1st row second level so at least I won't have to stand up for the whole damn game like most folks do. |

Re: What did you do today not on your truck...
Dad wanted to go squirrel hunting before “all things deer hunting” begins next Saturday. I got 4 and he got 6. Dad got two with one shot…..said it was the second time in his life he did that. He’s 80.
I bagged this guy. Wonder what in the world could have happened to him……well, before I knocked him out of that pin oak tree.

And he took great pleasure in it. I told him just before the start, I feared it was a trap game....I was proved right. But his team won...which made it an even more special day.

Re: What did you do today not on your truck...
Took the tank out of the Envoy . Damn nipples rotted away on the pump . Gas was dripping out from the return line . Of course it started after my wife filled it. And with the tip over valve in the filler no way of syphoning the gas .

Sometimes I love California. You deal with a lot of rust problems.
