Updates will come shortly. It's changed DRASTICALLY for this year. Not one piece of metal is untouched from these last photos, everything has been cut and twisted into something else. It even has... Dare I say it... Paint?

Re: Project Tornado: A Natural Disaster

It's a full pro-street frame with the rad, battery, booster and master cylinder up front, so weight is not a problem. It's manual steering as well. This truck has about 7000 miles on it in it's current state, so yes, the engineering side of things is proven.

Re: Project Tornado: A Natural Disaster

The dash pictures will come within the week, still working on assembling everything.

As for the grille opening, I never actually thought it'd look that empty. My ultimate goal is to find a nice paint-quality 1960 Chevy grille (Or whatever year it was that it had quad headlights and said CHEVROLET in the center oval grille portion). But up here, that's like finding a needle in a haystack, so I guess I'll be rocking the incomplete looking GMC grille. With that hood, quads are a necessity.

Re: Project Tornado: A Natural Disaster

I know of 2 '61s, both grills are absolutely beat
Good choice on the interim grill (Let me know when your done with it LOL)
The opening definitely needs something though, a spider web?, those chrome cupboard door knobs?, or even the letters from something else, Toronado (without the middle "O" of course)
Looking good
