I have never met Mr Winkler, but friends have and say that he is super cool...he just never got away from the Fonz role, and that is too bad.
Nice looking show, I suspect you did well ?

Re: 66 SBFS street truck
I was pretty happy with all the feed back.....it's a freaky feeling when judges start measuring your cowl gaps.....check bolt head direction.....but in the end it all worked out. I was lucky enough to take first place in my class.....

Thanks guy's.....
I got a ton of help from almost everyone i know and with out all the help I got I would have never pulled it off. ....I got lots of stuff to show you all. We finished off the stereo as we did my booth at the show...custom kick pods with my box in behind the seat housing a set of 12's. It's a pounder for sure....So we have, power windows almost done, power locks almost done, back up cam almost done, navigation almost done, heated seats done....and it goes on and on lol

Re: 66 SBFS street truck
Well another crazy week in the shop.....I decided to upgrade and go to a one piece drive shaft and so today I picked up my new yokes to install and make the measurements to have it made...Will give you the pieces and part numbers if you want but these yokes will take 500 Hp and so will the driveshaft....

Re: 66 SBFS street truck
When your doing a driveshaft and upgrading horsepower it's a good idea to upgrade yokes as well. Here are the parts i used which should easily take 550 HP.....You just have to match up the yokes to the diff and tranny for the HP...I learned this the hard way once so just saying

Re: 66 SBFS street truck
I bought all the yokes and universials from a place called Pat's driveline . They called it all 3500 series and said it would take 550-600 Hp no problem . I am using the same stuff on the next build just getting to the driveshaft next day or so . The tranny yoke actually comes like the one i bought kind of a billeted look or more of a cast look.....So yea i had to have the billeted look one. ...But i had them make the driveshaft and spec the yokes and the driveshaft comes with the universials and yokes installed and balanced.....They did that in 24 hours turn around time......great guys and a huge shop

Re: 66 SBFS street truck
I know i was showing how i build my sub boxes but i don't think i ever showed a completed picture did i ? Well for the last few builds I have been building my own sub boxes that fit behind the seat all nice and tight. Now don't get me wrong but i am off the carpetting the sub boxes thing lately. We all have out things and mine seems to build them round everything and body work them and paint them the truck colour to blend them in. I just dig the way it looks i guess....lol....I am sure it's not for everyone but it works for me.

Re: 66 SBFS street truck
I had a chance to pull the hulk into the shop recently and we have been using the stereo to listen to in the shop and have determined the following....a 8 step guide to stereo 101
How to check to see if your stereo is tuned and operating correctly. 1) Place truck in the shop 2)Open truck doors 3) Select music you like that is sub driven 4)Close shop doors 5) Crank stereo to max 6) Watch the case of the oil fall off the shelf and splatter all over the floor 7) Stand around in a group looking at the puddle of oil and be impressed 8) lol ....
