Re: Blackbird

looks great!
have you tried mocking up those wheels with any other hubcaps, I would like to see what a 57-60 looks like, also wondering how the chrome 64-6 would look , because it is a little bigger cap than the 55- 60 cap

Re: Blackbird

Thanks so much guys, I really like the black on black as well.

I've been dying to try a differnet set of caps but everyone wants the 56 it seems. I have another set of wheels here, maybe I'll play around with something a bit bigger for a cap.

i have a different idea in mind for caps that i'd like to use on my future chop top build, so please don't steal my plans ....and if i had the cash, i'd just go ahead & have you make them for me, even though they'd probably be years in advance, lol

Re: Blackbird

LOL I should do a video of this thing. Hmmmmm.

So a bit of progress, did the bed wood and started on the wheel tubs. I took a different approach this time because I wanted to use all the original wood. The last one I shortened the entire tub to keep as much of the original metal as possible seeing as the short side wood pieces were shot and needed replaced anyway. But this one I wanted to keep the same overall footprint so I left the bottom alone and took 2.5 out of the sides. This left an 8 inch gap at the top. I bent some sheet metal over my knee and stuck it in there. Don't look to close, it aint perfect.

Re: Blackbird

This is freaking amazing! I love the stance and wheels. I really like what you do with the bed floor as well. I might have to reconsider my build.
