I think that's used when you are replacing just the seal on an already assembled engine.

Re: Daverods project 66

Welded in some 1" wide 4" ouside dia reenforcement rings on my cross member
Worked on my engine alittle put some pistons in. Welded up my hole from my old shifter. Don't know if I should try and use my old heater and controls or buy a new unit? Put my booster on the rod isn't long enough to hook uo to the brake. I'm going to buy a adapter from cap. so I can bolt it up right. Thats going to make it even shorter?

I bet he was using the arc to light the torch, I used to do that a lot when I was a welder.

I knew a guy who once had the interior burn up on his 57 Chevy and he drove it a short time from atop a 5 gallon bucket.

Re: Daverods project 66

Found a nice drivers side for my truck. I might just use the whole thing. $200 it has $100 in square tubing on it. I think I'm going to take the sides off put my sides on it and sell it.

Re: Daverods project 66

Took the sides off the trailer I bought. Took the paint off one side. Had alittle bondo on it but not bad. Welded up some holes on my hood to late to grind it down. Don't want to piss anyone off. Sanded on my doors some more they're getting closer. need to get a real camara so I can get some close ups. When I take close ups it just looks fuzzy. bought a 71 sub for a parts tyruck should be here this week end. $250 and it runs. Haven't seen it yet the guy said he's going to drive it down here. Hope it has a 350 in it. Wonder if I could use the gas tank?

Lookin' good. Your camera doesn't have macro for close ups?

It would quite likely work.

The macro on my camera is a flower also...... it's the standard image for the macro.

Re: Daverods project 66

I never even thought about using the gas tank. I was happy with the disk brakes and the rear end, I aready had the power steering and power brakes. I don't think my camera has macro. I guess no close ups. They just make my welds look bad anyways. From a distance they look ok.
