Re: 60-66 Tire/Wheel Pics
Here is my 66 with Factory alloy wheel from a 2000 Tahoe. I used 2" aluminum spacers ordered from an ebay vendor. Told him what hub/axle I had & what wheel I was using & he made sure they fit right the first time. Included correct new studs & lug nuts plus correct old lug nuts.
I'm running BFG 235/70 x 16 tires. No Rubbing anywhere. |

Are you running adapters on the Camaro wheels or has you truck been changed to 4-3/4 bolt pattern? I like them. I have 5 on 5 in the front of mine and 6 lug in the back, but I have a 9 inch ready to go in the back that is 5 on 4-3/4". If this works, I have attached a picture with aluminum mags, 6 lug and a picture of how it sits now with 5 lug rally's in the front. It needs to come down another couple of inches.

Front, I have the 5x5" disc brake upgrade and chose an adapter that went to 5x120mm and was 1.5" (38mm) thick to account for the 39mm camaro offset. Rear, I have a Tbird SC IRS setup with discs. It's 64" wms-to-wms, so I chose the thinnest adapter (1") I could to try to keep the wheels inside the fenders. This pic shows the stance a bit better: I lucked out. |

What size are those?
Where did you pick up the push through center caps? And what's the diameter of them?

Re: 60-66 Tire/Wheel Pics
I'll get some later today. I'm going to the tire shop to have the tires mounted and I'll post a few. Yeah I figured I'd make them resemble the old Halibrands. (but cheap status!) haha!

Re: 60-66 Tire/Wheel Pics
I'm diggin' the grey centers. I've always wanted to try that, so thanks for showing it off. I'm a huge fan of Halibrands, except for the price.
If there's any way, try to find an 8" rear wheel. It'll fit the -275s a bit better, IMO. I like where you're heading with this, though. To me, the big/little look says "Hot Rod".

Re: 60-66 Tire/Wheel Pics
That combination looks fantastic. I'd suggest take your time getting used to making turns or doing any hard braking. 165x15’s were designed for VW’s and other small cars weighing nearly half as much as 60-66 trucks. The cool factor can be worth it, but the handling may be dramatically different than what you're currently familiar with.
