Windshield install was easy! I use lots of soapy water in a spray bottle and the rope tool! I put the seal on the windshield first and then wrap the rope tool around. That's way easier (I've found) than putting the rubber seal into the truck first! Start at the bottom to center the windshield and then start working your way out to the sides and finishing at the top!

Heres a few more pics of the frame once i got it home. its got some good old farmer welds holding the back overload springs on so thats going to be interesting to cut off! good thing chopping 8" off the back should get it all!

I had some time to install the cpp c-notch and its was a nice piece so install was pretty straight forward! Take a few measurements and get out the old plasma cutter. the only real pain in the a$$ was pounding out those rivets! Heres a few more pics! |

Re: 67 C10 "Green Gobblin" straight from the field!
Ya I figured making up some L angles to support the frame welds couldn't hurt! I saw that in another frame shortening thread on the forum and thought it was a good idea!

Re: 67 C10 "Green Gobblin" straight from the field!
I debated on changing out or making a new crossmember but decided to keep the factory one. So i put in some exhaust cutouts. I cut up some 5" rings and welded them in! Turned out decent but still not sure about keeping it or going with something else?

Yup I agree! Especially on a truck where you don't mind the odd extra scratch or dent! Lol
