Thanks ya'll!!
Still researching options for the rear, but will be a sway bar of some sort. We got a few more parts in today, the fan/shroud assy is tight...but it fits!

I'm liking that overflow tank also. I was thinking of making a typical round one, but now I think I may make a square one.

Re: Our "What are we going to do?" 66 Suburban Build

Worked on locking down the rad this evening. It's a bit wide at 27.5", which was hitting against the lower inner fender where it bolts up to the rad support. We made some new lower mounts which raised the bottom of the rad high enough to clear the inner fenders. Also welded on some 24AN fittings for the upper rad hose.

you guys are having toooo much fun... building the family rocketship.

really like the overall look of the truck and when you get her firedup, maybe, do a video so we can all hear and watch it.

Re: Our "What are we going to do?" 66 Suburban Build

Still whittling down the list...

Got the driveshaft shortened down and coupled up with a t400 yoke end of the week, haven't dropped it in yet though.
My boy swapped out the tired old springs for some CPP HD 4" drop versions, but we don't like them...dropped it more than we want and they're softer than we need.
We're going to need to play with some different springs to get what we want...got a set of Moog 3/4T, progressive rate, HD springs coming in to try. We want it a little ass high with capacity to handle a half dozen people, its on the bump stops under a couple hundred lbs with the "HD" CPP springs.

We will eventually repaint the burb (wife wants it "pretty), probably something close to the original balboa blue with silver where the white is now. For the time being though, we want to be able to enjoy it a bit...so try to keep it running while we chip away at it.
