Re: Gas Prices - Part 2

$3.08 here in town today. Was in Wichita yesterday and stopped at a Quick Trip with $2.83 a gal for 87 octane corn squeezins. Been a LONG time since I've seen it under $3.00 a gallon. Hope the down ward slide continues but not holding my breath given the situation in the world today.

Re: Gas Prices - Part 2

In my area we are in the $2.60 - $2.70's range.

I chicken out and filled up at $2.79.
It dropped again the next day.

Re: Gas Prices - Part 2

It's been dropping here. A few weeks ago I was seeing variations as much as 60 cents between stations. I've been buying at two places that are cheapest in my county seat, since it's on my route lately. It finally broke below the $3.00 per gallon for regular mark

$2.75 here. A guy can be all confused right now. Don't know whether to go fill up all the vehicles in case it shoots back up right away or wait on it to see if it drops even farther.

Re: Gas Prices - Part 2

First time in a LONG time gas has finally dropped below $3.00 a gallon. Just yesterday here in town seen it a $2.99 a gallon. Not far below the $3 price but it qualifies.

Gas in Wichita has been really odd. Some stations at the $3.19 mark and others from the same company brand (Quick Trip) are at $2.86 a gallon in a different section of town. Still seems odd to me, both are from the same company and as much as $0.33 cents difference between stations?

Not holding my breath but am hoping the downward trend continues.

I feel your pain. We just went down a dime.... to $5.10 per gallon.

Other than that, how are things in Wenatchee? I lived there for awhile in 1968 when I was working in Cashmere. Beautiful country, as I recall. Lots of orchards, and lots of cops.

I gambled and lost this time.

It went down to $2.65, and I had just enough gas to get there tomorrow.

Well Guess what it jumped to $2.89 .

Not that bad, But It's a roll of the dice now.

Has been 5$ + or - for regular here in California for the longest time ever. These $3 or less gas prices make me want to move.

Wenatchee has grown alot since you were here! (I was 6 then lol)
We are out in Sunnyslope where it used to be all orchards. Now it's all developed out with homes & apartment etc.....you wouldn't recognize it.
It's still a beautiful town just not so small anymore.

I filled up today at $3.85 gal.
A little down for the upcoming Holidays.

Yep. No sooner did it finally drop to below $3, for a day or two, it' took about a $.25 per gallon jump everywhere

Well, ours just dropped to $2.69. I may top off mine towards the end of this week. I'd like to ride this low for a few weeks.

I drove to Denver yesterday and saw a price of 2.72 somewhere on I25 between Colorado Springs and Denver. Of coarse I topped off my tank in Canon City before leaving and it was 3.28.

Re: Gas Prices - Part 2

Well filled up at 2.79 in another town would have been 2.69 if I paid with cash. Of course drive down a few blocks and had seen 2.99 to 3+. Why are gases prices so cheap lately?

Re: Gas Prices - Part 2

Wouldn't really refer to $2.79 as "cheap gas" when one stops to think three years ago we were well under $2.00 a gallon. Lot of things come into play but to keep this thread alive I will say just enjoy it while you can. May not last as long as one would like it to.
