Thanks I love the tires. I'll try the Meguiars polish where can I get it at?

You can get it at Auto Zone or Advanced Auto. Did you get a chance to weld up the floorboards this weekend?

Re: My 87 K5 Blazer project

Trucks outta time I was doing a tune up and the distributor was loose and the cap was loose also and I believe the distributor moved. So I'll have to time it. I also got nice grille out of a 73 Cheyenne so I'll save it for my next project.

Re: My 87 K5 Blazer project

so I got two of these original electronic radios with cassette, the digital clock, etc and neither one wants to work. The radio I have in the truck (pictured a few pages back) works great. Does anybody have any idea why the fancy electronic radio won't work. I have two of these so I can make one good one if I have too. Please help if you can I really want the factory digital radio back in my truck.

Did you put the Hot Rimz on those wheels? Looks like I see some hub reflection that I hadn't noticed before. Looks great!

I haven't even done anything to the wheels to tell you the truth I've been meaning to get some of that Hot Rimz but I haven't done it yet. The fuel pump crapped out on me today so I reckon me and a buddy will try and get it running again tomorrow.

If the console lid is ever slammed shut, the latch mechanism in the lid will break, hate to admit I know this. You may be able to get one from LMC or Classic Parts, then take it to a lock smith and he can make it match your door key like it is supposed to. I did that with the rear window crank on my '79.

The key works fine it acts like the latch is stuck or something i'm not really sure what its doing. I would like to have it working correctly though.

Re: My 87 K5 Blazer project

I'm probably going to be cutting those front reciever hitches off soon. I have no need for them and who ever put them on took the two center bumper supports out of the truck. I'll be getting those cut off since they are welded on and then I'm going to get a air dam for it.

Re: My 87 K5 Blazer project

if you take something like a toothpick and push the latch hook toward the lid does it ever catch or just swing free. if it just swings free the latch is broken. it happens all the time as they are made out of cheap pot metal. only fix i know of is buy another from a salvage yard

It just swings free I guess I'll have to get another latch at the yard if I can find a good one.
