Re: Project Orange to Green

I pulled my bags off to get another truck going(back ordered again). That's about it right now. I should get cracking in the next month or two and at least get this thing drivable.

Re: Project Orange to Green

I'm leaning towards the step with 20" wheels instead of the fleet with 22s.

Re: Project Orange to Green

Well, there may be an issue here. I'm thinking about building a whole frame for it. We'll see how I feel once I get DD on the road. Oh man, I'm starting to sound like Matt now

So what color is this going to be when you have it finished?

It kinda reminds me of those multi colored VW Golfs now

Re: Project Orange to Green

I've been spending all of my time on DD right now. I'm not really sure what's going on with these trucks right now. My time is getting shorter and shorter with all of the things I have going on right now. Looks like I'll be dooing a full reno. for my Mom herer soon as well so things are up in the air.

Re: Project Orange to Green

Soooo, how about an update. I sold DD with the step bed so I'm going with the fleet for sure. I changed the rear four-link(again) but I'm pretty happy with it this time. Other than that I've just been collecting parts. I should be able to make some headway in a month or so when the rest of the parts I have ordered get here. Here's a few pics of what I have so far.

Re: Project Orange to Green

I've been tinkering a little in between everything else. I got the frame clearanced for the new 7 gallon tank, made the filler piece for the front triangulated link mount and am replacing the tabs on the axle for the triangulated bars. I snapped a couple pics for proof

Re: Project Orange to Green

I drove over to Steven's place today and picked up the new rear tires I bought from Chris. We all went and grabbed some lunch, spent most of the day shooting the bull and putting Steven behind schedule on his build We had a great time, thanks guys! Looks like I'm going to need to take about 6" out of each side of the rear end
