it doesn't look like anything exotic. years ago one used to be able to buy a solenoid repair kit, which consisted of pretty well everything on the plastic end. usually it is just the contacts inside(the round disc) that caused the problem. you may be able to rob a post from another old one unless you cracked the cap. starter solenoids do not seem to have changed much in 70 0r 80 years esp on the cap end

no one wants to carry rebuild items anymore they want to sell the whole thing new and make more money i guess i am waiting for the new selonoid to come in the mail probably early next week!

Got it running!!!!! i was blown away it started on the first try!!! I got the rear frame horns welded on and the rear bumper thrown on the engine sounds very good i got the brakes working and the shift linkage working no gas pedal yet but pulled the sub out and parked it on its own power!! man what a relief!!! That was a huge step that i finally got over!! I will post up some pics today or monday.
