I think your truck would look great with a mild drop on it. Really help to clean it all up and tie all your new stuff together real nicely.

Re: 1985 chevy c10 swb
drove the truck home today and tried poping the hood knowing the cable was on its last leg. i pulled gently and the cable snapped. it snaped near the latch and the hood is still shut...
got a new cable. triped the latch open

Re: 1985 chevy c10 swb
Hey what do you have to do to put your head unit there? For some reason mine is up in my headliner but its retarded. I just am not sure how it installs in the dash. Do you just cut it, put the metal tray thing in, and slide the head unit in, thats it?

Re: 1985 chevy c10 swb
You may consider getting the 6x9 speaker brackets that Jeff, bigblock73, sells. Then making a box like you designed for a sub and amp. Also you will want to check the depth of the 12" subs. I had one behind my old 84's seat, and I notched out the box, and recessed it, and still had to scoot the seat up. Just something to keep in mind if you are tall like myself.

Re: 1985 chevy c10 swb
No pics of it. I just built it out of scrap plywood, and made it as shallow as possible. It was just a basic box, nothing fancy. If I had it to do over again I would have went with 10" subs, but when you're young you don't always think things through.
