Re: My "New" '76 2wd TOY...currently un-named
They probably were. I got my '86 in the summer of '93, and promptly got in a ton of trouble with it. I had it for almost 3 months, the last one it was hidden in the garage under a cover and a bunch of parts in case anyone was looking for it.

That's a heck of a deal. Maybe a member will buy it, it'd be nice to see that one painted.

Re: My "New" '76 2wd TOY...currently un-named
I assume you mean the top of the housing to the rear floor pan? If so, it's about 7-8" from floor pan to the t-fitting for the brakelines (which is the highest part of the housing). I've never had any issue with it bottoming out and the ride quality is amazing.
Hope that helps Liddy71 |

Re: My "New" '76 2wd TOY...currently un-named
Haven't been around lately, sorry to hear you are selling your truck.
In an earlier post, you said you were going to try to make a notch for the K5's; did you follow up on that? Also, you were having a problem with the Tahoe rear springs, and if I understood correctly you ended up having custom springs made? I was going to go the Tahoe spring route, but am curious what the probelm was? Another option I have is I have a set of 2" lift springs but they are from a truck. They look to be the same i-2-i length, but I was wondering if the capacity is different for truck and K5 springs?
