Awesome Job! Are you going to use outside door handles? Interested to see how lock and inside door handle rod turn out. The attention to detail is sick.

Re: 68 aka "Chained in Porterbuilt Prison"
Will be interesting to see this shape up.... how are you going to work the doorhandle and latch most bear claws are a pull to unlock not a push I will be interested to see what you come up with...... the whole build is just plain sick so far.

Re: 68 aka "Chained in Porterbuilt Prison"
Well what I discovered was if u use a left in place of right It puts the unlock mech at the bottom side which allows a push to unlock-Granted it's down 5 " below handle but I'll work that out--The slider to lock the mech is on top and seemed funny if i used it where it came out bottom--it works opposite of the door knob action-up on knob-would actually lock mech---not sure yet because of windows if I am powering door locks...(p.s no instructions with these claws so I had to experiment--found inst.on internet..locks were brand new from autoloc!!).....................jim

Re: 68 aka "Chained in Porterbuilt Prison"
Here's pic to show how the 1 gen camaro handles conform to the original "cup" of 67-72 door-----will have to move mounting holes in--and add material to end of opening next to door edge--on 1st gen cars there is no "hand cup" but it looks natural when put on this door--also 1st gen cars had a recess for both ends of handles but I think I can make these work without that recess.....The ring brothers handles will make some go "HHHMMMMM"??.......lol........jim

I have to agree with you on the ring bros handles i put some of the charcoal ones on my 68 they look really good. The c10 handles are so big and bulky i have often wondered why more people havn't used camaro ones!Nice build!

Re: 68 aka "Chained in Porterbuilt Prison"
Well finally--got dash installed for last time--still lots of work to go--temp.installed billet ac vents (dont think I have ever shown dash since I added vents) and switch panel and ac control panel to see if I still like it!!! Dash will have billet inserts in that recessed area above vents all the way across-everything else paint --last pic is of blind clips I installed on cowl panel before smoothing topside-Nothing more than a fender clip shortened and welded on top side with about 3/4" sliding underneath--not pretty but hidden and really functional--Holds cowl as tight as screws!!!..........have a good week......(p.s notice my favorite part--No ugly heater box under dash--vintage air is installed in pics!!!).................jim
