Making a little progress. Got the fuel system installed went with a walbro 255 external fuel pump with steel lines to the engine bay and rubber FI hose up to the fuel rails, new heater hoses got the return line on the power steering cut and ran, did I read in Bobs thread that there is a fitting on the back of the old P/S pump that will fit the new P/S pump and use the old high pressure line from the old P/S pump, is this right? I took this fitting out but have not tried it on the new pump. Got the brake booster vacuum hose installed, wired temp and oil pressure to gauges. Cleaned up all the wiring with new split loom and removed the wires I am not going to need. Still waiting on the harness and ECM from W4M. Trying to decided where to put the ECM and TAC. Got the gas pedal cut and welded like Bob did. I am trying to decide on headers now(thanks to seeing Dennis latest pics). I am going to run a 2 1/4" Y pipe to a 3" high flow CAT to a 3' single inlet 2 1/2 dual outlet Magnaflow muffler. I like the Y pipe that Dennis used. I think that is about it. Sorry no pics I'll try to post a video of first start!

I would go ahead and put the ECM underhood. Mine was shoved (not placed) behind the cluster, and it was a mofo to get to. It now resides under the hood.

Yea it will be under the hood I got the OEM bracket for the ECM just don't where will be the best place to put it. I guess just mount it to the D/S inner fender with the TAC unit under it.

Small update, but a money savings! My drive shaft fit like a glove. So I wan't need to spend money on adding to or shorting it, now I can better justify those S & P headers (thanks to Dennis) Need to run the trans cooler lines, tweek the shifter linkage to get it to work, finnish the P/S pump high pressure line, install the gas pedal, install wiring harness, TAC, ECM, radiator, fan shroud and fill all the fluids. Did I leave anything out? Then I can hear this beast run

Update: Got the harness and ECM back from W4M yesterday. Everything looks OK they replaced a couple of the connectors for the injectors and said everything else checked out OK. I started installing it and everything is going smooth. There are 3 wires that I need to hook up to switched power and 1 to the battery. It is the other wires that I am not sure of. I am making a list of the labels they put on them and I may need some clarification on some of them. The one that really confuses me is the data port I have has 6 wires but there is only 1 on the harness labeled data port. Anyway at some point I am going to rely on you guys for help. Thanks in advance. Just 1 more step closer!

and open the first .PDF there. On the top of page three is the Data Link Connector, and it shows what pins need wired. You will only have 4 when you are done.... data, power, and 2 grounds.

Give me a shout with any questions on the other wires.

OK I'll try to explain also as I just went through the harness 3 times. The serial data wire labeled goes to wire 2 in the obd2 connector, 4 and 5 are grounds and a constant 12v+ goes to 16. If you still aren't clear. Let me know. Looks great! Awesome progress!

Thanks I am determined to start this thing this weekend!! That clears up the data-port, do the grounds need to go to the chassis or just any good ground source?

Chassis is good, but make sure you have good chassis to body and body to engine grounds.

Well I haven't started it yet' but I'm a little closer. Just need to plumb in the steam pipe from the front of the engine, hook the trans lines up to external cooler and install radiator. The harness is in and all hooked up except for the fuse block and relays. So I still have a little before it will start. Weekend was a lot busier than I thought it would be.

Haven't mounted yet. Mocked it up on the inner fender with the TAC on the firewall next to the wiper motor. Really do not like the ECM on the inner fender I would like to put it under the battery, may try that this afternoon. I will post pics as soon as I decided.

OK Guys I have a 6 bank fuse block and this is how it looks. Do I hook all the W4M wires to the threaded post and the others to the spade terminal? I need your help! (sorry for the blurry pics) My confusion is the 12v all the time If I hook it to the threaded terminal all them will be hot? If that makes sense. Also what size fuse do I need?

You run a +12v 8-12ga wire to the threaded post. Most likely you will want to run this wire straight from the battery. Power is then distributed from the threaded post to the inboard side of each fuse terminal. Power travels through each fuse that is installed to the corresponding spade terminal. Basically, power goes into the threaded post and out through each spade terminal. The fuse rating will depend on how much current/amps each component will draw. For example a fan relay will need a 30amp or higher fuse, and the ecu may only need a 5 or 10 amp fuse. Keep in mind that if you run direct battery power to the fuse block, that whatever you wire to that block will have constant power. The switched power wire will most likely be supplied by an accessory terminal on the truck's factory fuse block.

The best thing to do is list every wire and every component that will need power, determine or estimate how much current/amps it will draw, and will it require switched power, constant power, or ignition power. Then decide how to supply the power.

Since I haven't even started on my swap yet, and haven't gotten to wiring, maybe someone can chime in on the exact fuse ratings to use. (I was just using an example) Hopefully I've gotten you started in the right direction.

Yea come on by, I have a case also, maybe two cases will get me thru this wiring. I understand the principle of it, just not sure how to excute. What size fuses was going to be my next question. The W4M harness has 4 12 ga wires 3 that say switched 12v and 1 that says constant 12v power and Bobs wiring diagram for the 4 bank block shows those 4 wires going to it. If I run a constant power to the threaded post it will give constant power to all 4 banks, how do I make three of them switched? I need another beer I'm getting confused
