Re: Vintage picture thread
I posted these before , just thought there belonged here.
Not sure when the 1st picture was taken but on the weekends I would ride with Dad doing whatever it took to help people .I remember that old truck smell the 60's model truck had . Second was when the 78 was just a couple of hundred miles old . |

Re: Vintage picture thread
Eightbanger that is an amazing picture. Totally of what I think about what life might have been like in the 1950s. BTW the car on the left is more than likely a 1955 or 1956 Chevrolet.

Back in the mid 60's my parents went up the ALCAN highway in an early VW camper bus from SoCal, and on the way up my Dad said he had to build a giant rock guard all the way around the bus. Since the tractor trailer trucks would blast up and down that highway showering your vehicle in rocks, so if you wanted to arrive to your destination with some paint left on your vehicle you would have some sort of screen work on it. Cool picture by the way!

Re: Vintage picture thread
My first truck in 1991, it was an Arizona truck with a 68 stingray 327 engine. Would light up the 33"s in four wheel drive. Sold the truck in 1994 for 5 grand and kicked myself ever since. My favorite feature was the chromed cowl cover.

eightbanger's picture with the mountain is actually the main street in Banff national Park in Alberta Canada. Beautiful spot for a drive.

Re: Vintage picture thread
I do love seeing the dealerships and street scenes....real life captured in a moment.
Not wishing to reduce this thread to pics of girls...but it is vintage and she is incredibly pretty, IMO.
