Re: 72 Cheyenne Build Thread

I may have to see your truck now, since you are local, and next week I am picking up a 72 GMC C1500 Sierra and selling my 75 Chevy C10 Silverado. Looks like I could learn some stuff and get some ideas just from looking at your truck. Very nice. Lots of inspiration from your truck.

Beautiful truck man...too bad you're in Nor Cal with gas at $4+ a gal. I'm putting together a SoCal meet in Orange County on August 16th after I get back from Iraq it'd be nice to see this beautiful piece of art

You're probably tired of hearing this, but killer truck. I love the stance and the wheels...love that you kept the trim and moldings...and I'm really digging the color; it reminds me of "marina blue" from chevelles, camaros, vettes, etc.

Thanks very much!

SacramentoJoe.....I see you cruising around Roseville from time to time, so if some stranger honks at you in a White F150...it's just me.

jb1016.....never get tired of hearing it (who would?)....lot of work went into this thing and I appreciate the "attaboys"! You hit the nail on the head with the Marina Blue......that's why I painted it later model Corvette Blue.

well that 72 didnt work out, but i am checking out a 67 Short Fleet tomorrow
Oh, as for car shows, my Senior Thesis Project for next year is to hopefully hold a car show to raise money for my school(small charter downtown). would you be interested in showing up? your truck definitely made it through my strict requirements I don't have the whole thing concrete right now, but I will make it work one way or another.

Be there in a heartbeat if my schedule is clear!

If you need space for a car show, let me know. Tons of concrete space at the place where I work, not to mention, lots of cool collision repair equipment.

Re: 72 Cheyenne Build Thread

Been awhile since I posted some pics.

Been enjoying the truck some and taking to local car shows and actually won first place at one of them........felt pretty cool!

These gas prices aren't doing me any favors though!

Here's a few pics with wheel wells back in.

Had to get some inspiration and ideas again. It looks freaking beautiful Jim! You even have me thinking about adding a supercharger to mine since it all fits under the hood, and Mama even said I could do it!

Great job!

You have a GORGEOUS creation here! I really admire your stupendous craftsmanship in every detail of your truck. I was thinking of putting a fuel cell in my truck. How is yours working out for you?

Your truck is absolutely one of my favorites on this board. Craftsmanship is top notch. Paint is beautiful, the list could go on and on. I hope my truck turns out half as nice as yours. Thanks for the inspiration. --Josh

Thank you very much!.....as far as the tank goes, I'm very happy with it and it works just perfect with the only drawback being that I have to drop the tailgate everytime I fuel up.....and that's quite often cuz it's kinda thirsty!

This is my absolute favorite truck on this forum. I like everything about it, I even borrowed a few ideas for my own truck. (Hope you don't mind) The planning and execution is second to none ,and the quality is superior. I'm sure you've heard this a thousand times, Job Well Done.

Re: 72 Cheyenne Build Thread

I understand Bob......there was a time when I thought others sucked too, but with time and patience, I eventually entered the "suck" club as well!

I have no doubt at all, that you will suck some day as well......but I fear that you will suck the most because of all the cool fab work you're doing on your project!!!......I imagine that *****en dash is just a small example of the build quality the rest of the truck will meet.
