Not totally off topic, Yes she still has it and is patiently waiting for it to be her DD. All I have to do is finish the 5.0 install. Months turn to years soooo
easily.
Should post a picture of that Bertone on Alternate Tinkerings. Add to my thread if you want. Might inspire me.
Mrs.Nonhog's kids called her Bertone the Mafia car.

They aren't, and they won't be.

This is the Opel nameplate version of the Chevy Volt. Start of regular production is in the September timeframe. This particular car is a preproduction (saleable) Captured Test Fleet vehicle; we've built several dozen and shipped them to Europe but elected to keep three here in the US for evaluation.

After regular production starts the Opel version will be available only in continental Europe, not in the US.

The CJ is my new daily, unless I'm running late for work (she doesn't get anywhere too fast-like), or it's raining, then I take the SS.

Re: I wanna see your Daily Drivers

Its not much but this is ours, 2004 Durango 2WD 4.7L V8, averages around 16mpg in town.

Unfortunately had to sell this a few years back when I started working from home and could not afford to keep it when it wouldn't be driven much.

91 R2500 2WD 454, not a speed demon but could pull a house off its foundation without skipping a heartbeat:

In the past 30 years about 90% of Fords are still on the road, the other 10% made it home.

There's quite a few here in Southeast Michigan.

At any rate, here's mine:

Nice Vert. Is that restored or original?

Haven't seen another in Iowa in general since I bought it 5years ago. Even at the Goodguys Heartland nationals which averages 4000+ cars a year I haven't seen another 61-63 Tempest/Lemans period since 2002. It always attracts alot of attention there cause noone hardly ever sees them here anyways.

Mine is very rarely a daily driver. Bought it with 39k on it and now has 41k, so it gets driven 400-500 miles a year max.

Thank you -

It's had one repaint, and we changed the top color from maroon to white.

Putting those RallyI's on there was no easy task, either; as you know, the bolt circle on these little cars is more Mopar than it is Pontiac (LH threads on the left side, too!). We redrilled the lugs to a more traditional 5x4.75 pattern.

We've got quite a few around here. I can think of two guys locally that have one of each (a '61, a '62 and a '63). There's a guy in Phoenix that daily drives his '62 - now has over a half million miles on it!

I have heard of quite a few people doing this with these underpowered V6 full size Silverados, Rams and Durangos. Everything I have read about it show they actually do real well.

Re: I wanna see your Daily Drivers

Just got a new 2011 chevy Z-71 Tahoe, cool part is i Lemon Lawed my 2009 Avalanche that had 28,000 miles on it, but was nothing but problems. GM was great about it and the Tahoe is worth a whole lot more than the used Avalanche!!
