Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

Re: How bout some pictures of '73-'87 regular cab dually

My dually, just put in a vortec 454/ th400. Needs lowered a lot, going to change rear ends from a 4:56 to a 3:73 Dana 70HD. Wanted to drop it while I had it all tore apart.

I can't get enough of this awesome truck!

Too cool that it's been in your family since new and that the paint is a play-off of what was on it back in the day.

Amazing job with this one - it is a true keeper!

Re: How bout some pictures of '73-'87 regular cab dually

I have had this a month as of tomorrow. In that time I have put a newer mono on and changed the fluids. It runs, stops, and goes. The frame and drivetrain are all good and it is a great starting point mechanically.
I went from a 6060lb 12x8 steel/wood bed crew cab 84 with suspension set up to carry 2,000lbs to this little bugger. I can actually park this thing and even with the little 292 the thing gets up and goes. I am stockpiling parts now. I need to run it across a scale. Maybe it is all the wood/aluminum, less leafs, or the fact that most of the sheet metal is paper thin or gone. But I am guessing it is around 4500lbs.

I still have the truck.
That truck is amazing! That color combo plus the hood stripes are awesome!
