Re: Project...praise the lowered
yeah guys,it was a big step getting to spray some paint.feels like i actually got somewhere on it.as for the wiring harness, the only wiring im using from the 67 truck is the front headlights connectors and the rear tail light connectors.the rest should be plug it in and turn the key.so today i went over and did some assembly to see how it looks with some of the holes filled.not too shabby.nothing is bolted in place in the pictures so some stuff is a little crooked but in my opinion it looks really good.next will be on to the drivers door and some welding/seam sealing under the cab.

Re: Project...praise the lowered
thanks man,its the same red my father is using on his t bucket build.it was a last second color decision for me.the out side is going satin black for now.i know from building the body at my buddies garage and frame in my drive way im going to have to chop cut and bend some stuff into place when i drop the body on the frame so the satin black would be easy for touch ups.the real paint will be next winter

Re: Project...praise the lowered
a quick update.got some pics of the doors in highbuild, the stainless fuel tank is complete, the inside of the doors were patched, blocked, primed and then painted today.i have to say im liking the john deere blitz black.covers great, sprays ok,use what you need then pour the rest back in the can and at $30 cdn a gallon i couldnt really go wrong.

so what color and paint are you actually using to paint the entire truck? i noticed you used red on the inside, and black on the doors?

Re: Project...praise the lowered
im going to use the john deere blitz black for this summer.reason being im building the body at a buddy`s place and hacking the newer frame at home so the chances of everything dropping into place just perfect is pretty slim.so the satin black will be easy to blend if i have to do some hack slash and bending to get the body in place and run all the stuff through the fire wall.and also because im running out of truck bucks so the black is easier on the wallet.then next winter i will paint it base clear.not sure on color i change my mind every day.

Re: Project...praise the lowered
Hey Joey first let me say that I have watched this build for a while and you do alot of great work. My question is this. I know that you are putting the body on the newer frame but Im wondering if the newer frame is going to be skinny enough to fit under the truck? In other words are you going to have to shorten the rearend and bring in the front wheels to fit inside the fender? I hope that makes sense.
