Re: GM Semis
If no one answers, I would be willing to take a stab at it. I see one or two tell-tale signs, but I am not really good with these type of trucks.

Cool Trucks. Like the 9500 Long Nose. Nice long Wheel Base.

Re: GM Semis
OK, between the "GMC" letters and the Front Bumper my best guess would be a '66, '67 or a '68, the last year of them made, the way I understand it.

Re: GM Semis
Here is a GM.
RISS bought over 500 of these "Cannonballs". RISS was based here in Kansas City and all the Cannonballs were delivered through Westfall GMC here in KC. I have a giant 2 page ad from 1955 that shows the trucks in Westfalls lot. Its to big to scan, Otherwise I would post it. Last edited by CREWCABGMC; 03-10-2013 at 11:18 PM. |

Re: GM Semis
From real nice to well used!!
The 9500 in the 1st picture has an amazingly short CA (cab to axel) especially for a long nose. Bill

Re: GM Semis
It sure does. The rear axle is in the single rear location,I think. It's an early race car hauler from back in the day judging by the small time sponsor. Maybe it's customized to be within the old length limits with a long race trailer
