Re: Tow Truck/Rollback/Hauler Pics
I was just kidding.I'm saying either you're a dude or a sir. That's how most people are addressed unless it's "Hey" or "Yo". I think at 32 you qualify as a "sir".

Re: Tow Truck/Rollback/Hauler Pics
Thanks guys. Petie, sorry man but that's not a job I want to do again. I had to change out all of the wheel studs on mine to fit the new wheels. I know some guys just bolt them up but they must have longer studs than I did or they are running with very few threads holding their wheels on. Your truck looks like mine did when I found it. I ended up being pretty lucky with mine, hope you are too.

Re: Tow Truck/Rollback/Hauler Pics
Looks like you have the 18 Inch Wheels which, if all original, indicates that you have the Optional Heavy Duty GVW package.

Re: Tow Truck/Rollback/Hauler Pics
Looks like the fronts are 10 lug too, it's just missing a stud or two, or five. But I really know nothing about these heavy rigs so it may be supposed to be that way.

Re: Tow Truck/Rollback/Hauler Pics
I know the heavier trucks such as a C-50 or 60 sometimes run 10 lug in the rear and 5 lug in the front with the same spacing. Gm has been doing that for years. Not sure if I've ever seen that combo on a "pickup" chassis, interesting.

Re: Tow Truck/Rollback/Hauler Pics
I believe the GVW on the HD package is 14,000 Lbs. I'll be curious to hear back from him on it. On 2-Ton trucks, some have what are called 5-10 Lugs, 5 on the front and 10 on the rear. It looks like this truck also has it that way. I've only seen one '71-'72 C-30 one time with the HD package, but can't remember the Lugs on it. The HD package is definitely rare.
