I really like that port through the frame aclew. Whats your plan for keeping the pipe from rattling on the tubing?

Re: What did you do yo your truck today??

Thanks Red Chevy, the port is 3.75 id. And my exaust is 2.375 od. The 5.3 vortec is mounted Ridgid to the frame. (I have a poly rear Trans mount to protect the tail shaft brg from vibration.) Ill mount the exaust ridggid also and add small stainless flex couplers to allow for expansion an contraction. I'm thinking that will limit movement enouph. The exaust will then travel through mufflers and out the bed skirt in front of the rear wheels. I'd love to hear suggestions this is my first build.

Drove mine for the first time in 2 weeks. Wishing it would stop raining so i could wash it. Or i could just throw some soap on it and put on a slicker suit...

Put my HI-4 kit to use with some 55 watt HID high beams and changed the low beams to 35 watt HID's. Man does it make a difference!

Washed it.... Finally, it has been below 0* up here for almost a week. I used my lunch break at work to pull it into the wet bay and wash and wax it.

Re: What did you do yo your truck today??

Drove the stepper to work and back yesterday. Wet snow on the way home. Found out how bad this 2WD square is in the snow. Several near death experiences. Had to switch to the front wheel drive VW for some errands. Learned why there aren't too many of these trucks around anymore . Squirrelly

Gave me a $200 partial refund, ordered me a new rim and tire (One got gouged from a wheel stud, using it as a spare) new LCA, and spindle on the drivers side, and new rotors and pads on both front sides, as well as ball joints and outer tie rods/ends on drivers side. And a matching drivers fender. they more than made up for it IMO They also paid a different shop a "rush" fee and I got my truck back in a little over 6 hours.

Ron White made a joke about his wheel falling off at a Sears tire center, that's all I could think about through this process. (I did not use a Sears tire center)

Re: What did you do yo your truck today??

After having the truck for a little over a week. I finally got to put som time into fixing a few things.

1. New driver and passenger handles. Previously driver handle was broke off and had to roll down window to open the door. The passenger side was missing lock and had to lock from outside. Both work correctly now.

2. Got rid of sag in driver door using the jack method. Now I can shut it without slamming it.

Next weekend I hope to have time to install new radio and fix some electrical gremlins.
