Re: My new build thread: Stage 4!
Anyone used Wes's outer floor extensions to repair 67-72 Blazer/Jimmy floors? Looks like the way to go, gives you 4" of floor back, the rocker channel, and rocker backing plate all in one. All this is gone on mine, both sides, and am looking to order em up. Just was looking for feedback and or pic's of your's!

VTblazer use to suggest using them over the Blazer ones as they give you more metal.
Look on the first page of the critter build. |

That's right Lb, I remember that now! Measured my floor and that 4" would really help here!

Re: My new build thread: Stage 4!
Ordered more parts from Wes today. Pic's when they arrive! Don't remember if I mentioned it, but I picked up a sponser, my DAD! He finished his 66 Pontiac project and is selling off all the leftovers. All proceeds are going towards my build, how cool is that!

Re: My new build thread: Stage 4!
Right on! My DAD is the coolest guy on earth! He tore a 1966 Pontiac Bonneville 4 door apart, did a frame/swap/rebuild/resto that is way nice! He is not a 4x4 guy, but behind me all the way.

Re: My new build thread: Stage 4!
Got the outer floor extensions, and front door rear pillar patches coming from Wes, should be here any time. My dad sold a 389 Pontiac motor he had, guy picks it up at the end of the month. Then I'll order up the front cab supports, bed floor rear section, etc, getting closer everyday!

Re: My new build thread: Stage 4!
Got my complete rear disc conversion kit today for my 14 blt rear axle! Rotors, calipers, brackets, spacers, pads, hardware, rubber hoses, complete! Bought it from Blackbird's, right here. Excellant guy to deal with, great service too! All I need to round up now are all new wheel studs, and should be set. I'll post up some pic's of the kit later.

Re: My new build thread: Stage 4!
Got a little good news today, the guy I was thinking of welding up my tub just quit his day job. Good news is- he's on his own now! Dad came by after I got out of work and said possibly more parts sold. Cool! Waiting for parts delivery from Wes, still a long road ahead of me but getting closer everyday. Still working the overtime, trying to knock out some extra $$.

Re: My new build thread: Stage 4!
More Pontiac money coming this week. Ordering up rocker box stuff, only leaves some floor steel and the rear bed to go! Ordered up all the hardware for the rear wheelwell swap from LMC. Got a real nice fuel fill inlet tube assy from Sharpie! After these said replacement parts are here, it's time to find the proper welder to set it up!

Re: My new build thread: Stage 4!
Kind of a update, waiting on some more Pontiac money, and some more panels from Wes. Really getting close to having all the parts to fab it up. Kind of on hold, going on vacation tommorrow afternoon for just over a week! Camping trip with the wife and kids, dogs, out on the river! Next year, hope to have the K5 done enough to run some of the trails out there, and haul some camping gear also!

Re: My new build thread: Stage 4!
Wow, go camping for 8 day's, and you guy's have been busy. Did get another delivery from Wes while I was gone. Only need a few more sheetmetal parts to get started on the rockers and floors. I've got 2 more days off before back to work, need rest! Sure did wish I had the K5 camping this last week, would have been fun!
