Re: "Rice Rocket'
Got my bumper brackets done and bumper mounted. trailing arms done (I used lockwasher but should I put locktite on any of this)
gas tank was started, i drilled a few too many holes in the frame (stuypid me got in a hurry). but ima ditch the j bolts and use bolts. ima drive it for a lil wiht no bed around town and to pickup my filler stuff. i bent the neck about 1/4 1/2" to clear frame rail. hopefully it'll be a roller by the weekend! all left now is blast paint rearend (hopefully friday). and mount it plumb gas line and bleed brakes install shocks and maybe 1 more coat of paint on frame! cant wait till its finished and i can pull cab tank out (has half tank in it)

Re: "Rice Rocket'
Polished the heck outta my tips/bumper polished an then waxed my bumper forgot to do tips (will do tom.) dad said waxing over the polish should protect it a lil more.
finally got a lil dry weather to blast rearend! got it blasted and painted 2 thick coats of bedliner. hopefully i'll be dry enough to install tomorow otherwise i'll have to wait. what kind of paint should I paint my brake drums with? Thought of doing baby blue paint on diff. cover/brake drums. Any thoughts? Will spraypaint hold up to heat of brake drums or should I get hi temp paint? Also, should i put locktite on my nuts and bolts of suspension pieces? Currently there all tightend up but not locktited. If I dont lockite would it be a good idea to at least chizel a small dent in the threads so they dont back off??? (dads idea) lol. All I have left: Install rearend bleed brakes blast paint drums (sometime when I get more time and paint and weather) plumb gas line get filler door and weld adaptor on gas tank (wont have gas in it or any fumes lol) Hopefully if the paint dries it'll be on the road tomorow. IF the paint dries! Im excited!

I paid $100 for my slots, but they needed a lot more work than those do. All those need is a little 2000 grit and hit em with a power ball.

Re: "Rice Rocket'
Hi
It’s no bother at all feel free to email anytime. I didn’t get in till after dark but best I can tell they look like they measure 3 ½” on the backside laying a flat rod across the back of the wheel and putting a tape to the center of the wheel that the hub sits against. I then did the same on the front side and they were right at 3” with about a ½” thick wheel in the center. I think this is what you are needing but if not please let me know and I will try it again. Thanks Perry thats wwhat the guy put..hes 1 hr drive in my truck...200 worth it? dads buyin me new back tires too!!! what're you folks doin for centercaps? (these aint got none)

Re: "Rice Rocket'
Ok, not much progress lately because the weather snowed yesterday and short sleeve weather today!!!
Picked up a swaybar from a pal parting out a truck brackets/bushings/bar for 15$! its only the 1 1/16 unfortuantely its from a 3/4 ton truck.. gonna pick up new moog (if they make em) bushings from parts store. brackets dont look bent my trucks at stock ride height should I just keep these brackts for now (may lower in future idk though) painted wire wheeld inner fenders on bed, still have to notch the brace sill a lil more for it to fit, hopefully get that done tom. afternoon. wash frame lol and back of cab (dirty) Get bed on truck asap if time make rubber sets for bed to sit on get 4 bed bolts blast paint and install sway bar and buy new bushigns (moog?) call slot guy to see if slots are still for sale, buy slots/new back tires how much will the swaybar help my handling? with new bushigs of course. did i get a good deal on the bar? and it didnt have any rivits holding it on just bolts lol oh and picture of bed is before notched brace and before i wire wheel'd and undercoated wheel tubs it was actualy pretty safe believe it or not i discovered a lil rust on top of wheel well, any way to take care of this (stop it before it gets worse)?

Re: "Rice Rocket'
Yep, half ton too bad? whuuuuhh? You mean 1 ton? It was a 3/4 ton with a 1 1/16 bar. Should be plenty thick anyway. But just like to have heavy duty stuff
But hopefully the slots are still for sale, and hopefully there the right BS. And hopefully I can get em cheaper because i'll still have to buy 6 lug rotors! (bought stinkin 5 lug ones for some dumb reason) anyone wanna trade?

Re: "Rice Rocket'
Ok slight change of plans..
Finish gas relocation get tank outa cab asap! Going to junkyards this weekend or earlier..depending on crazy weather! Got my bed on today. Picked it up with the tractor, much easier, (sorry no pics lol no one to take any). 1 finish gas relocation FILLER! 2 6 lug brake rotors/swaybar 3-radio antena/slotted wheels (if there still for sale). Heres a couple pics, I hope I cut enough out of the bed floor brace to slip the hose over. Tighter than I imagined!! Going to try to get a 1 3/8 hose, and a filler neck of 1.5" and slip heat slip lube etc hose over the 1.5" part. Gonna try to get a round door s10/car/newer fullsize chevy truck. Anyone know what size car has a 1.5" filler? Thanks!!!!!
