chad , didnt you tell me you had family close to me? if so there is a junkyard in tellico plains that has two bbw trucks with glass its only open on sat. from 9-12 maybe you could get some family to get you one from him, its only 45 minutes from them if i remember right (copperhill) i would be more than glad to help but shipping a glass would probably end up bad.

ya the live in copperhill! but they dont know anything about cars and trucks other then to change the oil and put gas in them! i know how i would wrap the glass for shipping, but i dont know how much it would cost! and any shipping company would know how to ship it i would think! i should quit being cheap and call the local glass guy how much

I gave up using the old glass back windows, the last couple of builds i had new tinted glass cut for the cab all the way around. Thats a option for you maybe...I get the impression your just looking for the glass only ? You can just have a new one cut yea it's more money i am sure but a tinted glass big back window looks good. Nice to see your making progress again on your truck.... keep it going.

well i just got off the phone with the local glass guy! he said he would have to cut one out for me and wants $150 not installed and wants $225 to cut it and install it! so i think i'll keep looking, been looking on craigslist lately anyways, and i still got to go to the salvage yard sunday to see if they have one!

i think i might be getting one from sigshooter, when we both get some free time one weekend! my cousin is looking for me too, and in away i hope to get both that way i'll have a spare incase i break one putting it in the first time! my cousin seen a 64-66 c-10 long bed with the custom trim and big window, he's going to go ask them about the back glass and maybe the whole truck, i'm hoping the whole truck! i took some stuff to the scrapeyard yesterday my parts cabs that weren't worth anything i picked them apart and a old caprice and got a llil over $500 for all of it! i had to give the wife some of it to keep her happy, lol! getting a used deluxe heater for my truck orginal not aftermarket, the one with the three levers! does anyone know if theres a difference in the heater boxes under the hood for a 64?? or are they all pretty much the same, only one has a pull knob and the other has the three levers?? told the wife if i want ac i would roll down the window but, i need a heater/defroster for it! haven't done anything lately just buying some stuff and looking at other stuff i want, seeing what i need to buy first that can go on and what can wait a lil while longer!

well thanks flips72 for the heads up, i called lmc about the big back glass! they have it listed for $69.95 and a $20 oversize fee and since thats all i really needed right now the total was $103.70! it well be here in about a week, flip where did you get your gasket at??

classic parts of america i think ,20 bucks but be sure and order the bead installation tool its well worth 10 bucks, and glad to help.

well not a lot to update i did get my big back window today and i won some hooker comp. headers off ebay! there full length headers and they will work with the cpp motor perches, i also won a glove box door with the gray emblem, hinges, and rubber stoppers! i also will be getting an orginal deluxe heater from my friends dad this weekend or by mid. next week! his putting in the aftermarket unit in and is giving me the deluxe heater for FREE!!! i will add pictures later this week or by this weekend, got to find the cable that connects to the computer!

well when i got off work today my friends dad had just pulled up to drop off the deluxe heater for me, and i got my dual adhesive gun today as well! the deluxe heater center knob got broke on the way here today! i'll be painting my glove box door and the heater panel the same color as i did my gauge cluster, i'll paint the rest of the heater black and silver! so anyways on to the pictures!!

parts look great. really glad you got your glass. i love the glove box lid it looks awesome. the adhesive gun is for the panel bond looks just like the one i have you will like the panel bond, its easy and no mess, you dont have to mix anything it mixes itself as it comes out the aplicator tip, just make sure to wipe off any excess before it dries because its some tuff stuff.

The back window is not too hard to install. Wrap the glass with the strip and put a rope in the channel. You can tape the rubber in place around the window to hold it. Use glass cleaner as lube and press it up against the hole pulling the rope and opening the weather strip up to grab the window edge. Sometimes tite in the corners, you'll see!! If you dont want to buy the lockstrip tool, you can use a screwdriver or small trim tool to open the groove. Just slide it at a roughly 30* angle and press the lock bead in the hole right behind the tool. You will have sore fingers!! Eventually you will get done......with this , anyway.

williamsboys, they are "Hooker Competition Headers Full-Length Painted 1 5/8" Primaries 2452HKR" they sell for about $200 a set but i got them for $99.99 off ebay, they say they were used long enough to break the motor in and then the guy wanted chrome headers!!
captain, the gun is for 200ml 1:1 ratio adhesive cartriges really but with a little mod. to one of the pistons i can use the 3m 2:1 duramix/automix panel adhesive cartriges in it! i started messing with it when i realized it wont work with the 3m duramix/automix panel adhesive!
flips, thanks for the comments, and i wish winter will come and go already so i can but the glass in, lol!! i bought the gasket and the bead lock tool today and new heater control knobs and the center level for a total of $58
protrash, ya i cant wait! does anyone have a how-to video as to installing the rear glass in our trucks? i dont think it will be that hard to do and i dont want to pay some one to do something i can do with a lil time! thanks guys for the comments and checking in on me!!

well i drilled the rivet type deals off the back of the heater panel face so i could take it aprt and clean a paint it all, i will drill and tap 6 holes to be able to put it back together! i got the heater panel face painted, the glove box painted, and some more of the heater stuff painted! i'll be taking the rest of the heater apart this week to clean and paint, i'll be buying a new motor and fan blade for it so i know its new! anyways heres some pictures
