Re: 20" Truck Rally Wheels
Still working it fellas. They said they could probably make the wheel in aluminum as an exact replica so we can still use the caps and rings. Not sure if that'd work well with an aluminum wheel though. Having a confrence call with a Mfg. Monday about steel too! We'll see I guess.

Re: 20" Truck Rally Wheels
I like the aluminum idea, I'd still go with stock center caps. Easier for them to manufacture, and easier for us to get the right look!
The biggest problem with cast aluminum is back spacing options. There would be minimal options unless you go with a two piece wheel. Posted via Mobile Device

Re: 20" Truck Rally Wheels
Why wouldnt it work if it was aluminum? As long as it looked the same, and had the removable trim ring and center cap im sure it would be fine. The reason I originally said steel because I figured that would of been the cheaper route. But if you cant get them in steel I think the aluminum would be a good substitute.

Re: 20" Truck Rally Wheels
Very cool, I love the look. And great cad work, man that looks awesome. I know there is a lot involved with getting wheels passed for federal regulations to sell to the public. Maybe ask around and get some info on this before putting out to much doe for R and D. A friend of mine designed some Milk truck wheels and had a bunch of proto types made. He spent over 10 grand getting them tested and such to meet regutaions. I'm sure you've thought of this already just thoght I'd mention it.
Would love to see you succeed with these babies. |

Re: 20" Truck Rally Wheels
Very interested in how these turn out, so far looking great. I think Aluminum is the only way to go though, steel 20's would be deadly heavy. Keep on truckin and good luck with the mfg's!
