Re: A '62 has to get back on the road

I agree, I'm really happy that the windshield is back in place, the wiring is progressing well.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

Re: A '62 has to get back on the road

Wiring under the Dash is finished, I have to come up with something for the safety switch, it was almost in the Firewall and I had to remove it so that the steering column would fit, so there was no one on it. Still made holders for the flasher relay and the wiring harness, looks good. The rear window is back in place too.

Coming together nicely. Any provisions for a neutral safety switch on that column?

Re: A '62 has to get back on the road

I'll probably this reverse switch, down on the steering column, fastened to the shifting, the engine must be started only in P.

Re: A '62 has to get back on the road

Slowly I can do something again, nobody needs Covid19. Inside I'm almost done, the Bench seat still has to go in. I had to install a safety switch so that the engine only starts in "P", the original one collided with the firewall, so nobody was there.
I used a small industrial roller switch and put it on the shift lever
Are there actually longer speedometer cables? I find it a little tight with the TH350
Stabilizer is also attached.
Shift linkage installed.
Rough preset toe, camber and caster.
Now the inner fenders could be mounted.
Fenders attached, whether the alignment is okay.

Re: A '62 has to get back on the road

We continued on the truck, first some rework, the holder of the stabilizer changed from the low to the high holder, gives more space on the tie rod.
Inner fenders, fenders and front mask aligned and screwed everything together.
Bumper bolted to the Bumperette.
Now come the relays for the headlights, the wiring has to be adjusted.

Re: A '62 has to get back on the road

Yes.... thank you. It went a bit further, the Heater is connected, the hose connection is a bit strange due to the Heater Valve. The Wiring Harness is also making progress, the relay for the Headlight is connected, the Wiring Harness in the grill is prepared and the front is painted black and today my Douglas fir wood bed was picked up by the carpenter, I'm really happy about it.

Thank you, I'll keep you posted.

This weekend is a hot rod meet up with 1/8 mile race in Finofurt near Berlin, great to be around normal people and see so many C10s...... crazy.

Re: A '62 has to get back on the road

In the meantime, the Cowl Covers and Windshield Wiper system have been installed, the electrical system is complete and working, everything is connected for testing.
Finally welded the battery holder, the front edge was brittle.
The seat could now be reinserted.
A new Water Cooler has also arrived, I still have to fit it in, it will work.

Battery tray repair is a great result.

Your red interior really is classy and looks rich.

I like that, a lot.

Re: A '62 has to get back on the road

Thanks for the kind words.
Today it ran again for the first time, a bit pre-primed, waved the key and hey it started, don't let it run for long, no cooler is installed yet. But he drives forward and backward, idiotlights go out, when the engine is running.
I'm very happy with myself.
