Glad I could help lol! I 2k prime, seal, base clear! Sealer is supposed to help paint cover better and it acts as a barrier to the primer so no bleed through.

Re: Big Red Dog

No problem Dave! I've enjoyed working on it until my issues today but they too will be ok just a few more hours of work. I worked from 10-3pm on it today and just kinda went nuts on it. The next few days it will really start to pop. The front clip could be put togather and back to you if we can figure out transport. All I need to do is wetland and buff the fenders and top of grill backer and its ready to go. I've got to figure out where I can put the good down to wetsand and buff it! Don't trust the stands to handle me rubbing it. Good news is we're getting close....

Re: Big Red Dog

How much for the keystone clear? Whose base? Nason is 130 a gal. The word is, that southern polyurethane stuff is really killer.

I priced nason and it was $235 for this red and they are 8-1 mix vs omni 1-1. The keystone clear was $190 with hardner! I've heard of a lot of guys using transtar clear but I stuck with what I know product wise..

Re: Big Red Dog

You are moving along. I'm not sure of your schedule, but I have a break (from work) after next Tuesday. I'm not pushing at all, just letting you know my schedule. You can tell me when things will be ready.

Heck, the most difficult schedule to work around is going to be the weather!

Re: Big Red Dog

Thanks Dave. I think the front clip will be done and ready to go. Need to buff the fenders and hood again and could possibly put it all togather but hauling it will be the issue as far as how to without damage. We will figure it out. By next week might have the cab done also we will just see...

I'm at the polishing stage now except for the doors that need some attention inside but that's easy. Thanks for the compliment...

Re: Big Red Dog

Oh, he does love it.

Black battery box is fine, there will be black contrast elsewhere.

So, hood, fenders and nose are done.

Wet floor, dust control?

Dave.
